Hello! At some point on a road trip, we lost "part" of the front camera view on our 2016 Z51. I don't recall anything happening other than it just stopped showing on the screen.
Can anyone give me advice on how to troubleshoot this problem? The full screen is fine on the backup camera.

Front Camera Back Camera
There are 2 cameras. Probably one got damaged or broken.
Thank you for responding. I have not checked anything since I have no idea where to start. Tried to find a video or any guidance. The tech (not mechanic) in me was hoping it needed some kind of reset.

First examine the left camera for any impact damage. Rocks have an amazing way of finding the cameras. If there's no damage, you can throw a Hail Mary and disconnect the battery for 30 minutes to see if it resets. 99.99% likely it will not.
To access the camera and the wiring you need to pull off the bumper cover. Plenty of YouTube videos on how to do that. Takes 30 minutes or so.
My car is modified but this might give you an idea of what to expect regarding wires between the chassis and the bumper, the actual camera, and the backside where you access the screws that hold the camera and bezel in place....
