I'm not sure what the actual gains are, I need to dyno it but I can DEFINITELY feel an immediate improvement in pickup and power compared to before. As everything else is stock, so I'm certain the ECU is still locked, thus my excitement to find a device which actually delivers some improvement without requiring brain surgery on my vehicle computer. I didn't need all the bells and whistles, just a little more response...

What you feel doesn't matter. What the dyno shows, does. Almost every guy who modified his car has felt like it made a difference. It's called The Placebo Effect.
Define "locked".
I admit the HP Tuners can be intimidating but it does a lot. The Diablo is pretty simple and allows you to load the program someone put in if you don't want to make adjustments yourself or want to use the canned tunes included.
