I just bought a DSC Controller and tried to use launch control but I really don't know if it actually worked or not. I tried it on the street while also testing out the 2nd gear launch. Held the brake firmly and stabbed the throttle, the car tried to lurch forward. I bought the rpm's up to about 1500 and whapped the throttle and just went into instant tire smoke. I had ET Street R's on it. I wasn't expecting it to dead hook but figured with the weight transfer it would have done a little better than that. My question is, do you have to launch from idle or can you stall it up a little? How do you know if it is actually working or not? I know on the Porsche's a light flashes on the dash, wish we had something like that
This is the info I have from DSC "DSC launch mode (just the shocks) you have to blip the throttle just before launch. Keep in mind according to DSC this only worked for the first x feet than the shocks went back to the normal setting for race". I also have the DSC controller but never use the launch feature. Let us know if you feel it works. Thanks.

That's pretty much what I did but I was on a regular road so I didn't feel much of anything. I will have to try it at the track for a more predictable result. Also I went in and modified the launch file. It was set at 25/75 for the launch. I changed it to 15/75 also changed the timer to 2000ms, Speed to 40 from 60 (I figured this was for a rolling start like a highway pull) and throttle from 60% to 50%. I googled and searched for launch files and suggestion and found absolutely nothing. I guess I will be the Guiney Pig and see what does and what doesn't work.
I don't know how this translates to DSC #s but I have QA1 double adjustable shocks on the rear of my C7. I keep compression on 3 clicks from full soft on the street. I crank it up to 5-6 along w/ more rebound for autocross. The extra compression definitely reduces launch traction. So much so that in spring and late fall, I often run just 4 clicks compression.

You need to be in Track mode for Launch Control. It works great on my M7. At a stop, blip the throttle, then stab it and release the clutch. The front end definitely pops up more so with the DSC. DSC is a great investment because it actually softens the ride and only reacts when needed.
I made some changed to the launch control setting. I made 3 different logics one for Touring Mode one for Sport Mode and one for Track Mode. I set the shock for a different rate in each one plus I lowered the throttle activation to 20% so I can just blip the throttle to get into launch mode. It was originally set to 60% which it a lot more than a blip. Track got rained out for this weekend so I will able to try it out next Friday.
I emailed dsc to ask if they had any info on the drag mode. they sent me a link to the hardware install lol.
I emailed Tom from DSC and asked as well and never received a reply. I guess because I bought THEIR PRODUCT from LG Motorsports. Word to the wise if you decide to buy a new DSC Controller buy it direct from them or they will provide NO SUPPORT!!! Total Bull ****! Its their product

Decent product, but their support and customer service functions need a LOT of work.

The GM launch control that limits rear wheel slip only works when the car is in Track Mode. You can't just blip the throttle, you have to hold it on the floor until the engine rpm stabilizes (the system limits engine speed to about 4500 rpm while the clutch is depressed). When ready, just side-step the clutch while keeping the throttle on the floor. Rear wheels will stutter-step until tires gain traction. Watch the Ron Fellows Spring Mountain videos to see how to use LC on both M7 and A8.

I'm not using GM Launch Mode. The DSC Controller has a launch mode as where is adjusts the shock settings softer to transfer weight.
