Hello. I recently had an issue with my 14 stingray m7. While driving 60mph in 5th gear a light rattle/ knocking noise started that sounded like it was in the engine and went away as soon as accelerator was pressed. Immediately the check engine light came on. Codes 331,324,326 were all stored when I arrived home to check. Cleared codes and have been driving 50 miles without any other issues but I’m sure I have some serious issue. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
I am not an expert on these cars yet but found the following threads that may be helpful. It sounds like you got some knock condition, possibly brought on by an issue like faulty plugs, wires, or knock sensor .. maybe even a battery going bad.
When you post a DTC it is either a P,B,C, or U followed by a 4 digit number…since you heard a rattle you actually had a knock so it can be low octane fuel, low quality fuel or a lean mixture…below is what sets those 3 DTC’s…these are Type B DTC’s which means the fault must be present during 2 consecutive drive cycles or “Two Trip”.
I spoke with procharger today and explained all
of the issues and the codes it is throwing. They said it’s 100percent the driver side knock sensor . I will get that swapped out and report back . Thank you
Filled up with 91 octane from a quick trip today as well as some boostane octane booster. Noise is completely gone and no longer throwing cel fro multiple Knock sensor codes. I still plan on replacing knock sensors.
