Default Performance issues 2017 C7 Z51

Refrigerant full , no leaks . Blows cold then blows hot . Floor the pedal and it blows ice cold , floor it again and completely hot. Floor it again and it goes ice cold again . , any suggestions ?

Exactly how do you know the refrigerant is full ??…you recovered the refrigerant, pulled a vacuum on it and then added the correct amount ??…is your condenser clean ??…you may want to inspect and clean it…AC work is best left to a professional as it is not a DIY type repair…is the compressor clutch engaged at low and high RPM ??…increasing the RPM is pulling more air across the condenser…at low RPM low flow if clogged.

The driver and passenger have their own temp control. Maybe one is set to hot the other set to cold. Make sure the sync button is on so you have total control of both sides.

a close friend owns a shop , evacuated the system , held vacuum for 15 mins, filled to specified amount. My Autel has bi-directional testing so , a/c clutch does engage , all pressures are adequate . There are 4 relays and fuses associated with the system , all except one was fine . One relay was poorly fit , secured it . I’m weeding through service data looking for logic on the A/C cut off for heavy acceleration . Basically under high acceleration a/c shuts down to provide maximum hp. Looking for details , 5mph to 100 mph no matter , if it’s cold and you floor it it goes hot , floor it again and it goes cold any rpm or speed . Thank you so much , I’ll look at the condenser for sure.

If cooling is better at higher RPM sounds like a clogged condenser and yes under WOT the AC clutch disengages…if driving at speed on the highway is the cooling adequate ??…and your cooling fan is working ??

As I stated earlier , went out driving had several data pids selected and nothing out of line. When I returned home went through diag on anything listed as HVAC or AC .HVAC module came back with the code BO228:61 . HVAC actuator stuck…..don’t know if this is it but we’ll see.

You will not see anything data PID wise for a dirty condenser.

Same as you, we want your Corvette running at peak performance. We think obtaining an official diagnosis from one of our GM-certified dealerships would be the next best step towards a resolution. If you'd like support connecting with one, you can reach us via email at socialmedia@gm.com. Just be sure to include your username here and the forum title in the subject line for referencing.

Kind of sounds like moisture in the system.

Did you replace the accumulator when the system was opened?

Could also be a pressure switch acting up.

If it was me and after I ruled out all electrical issues, I'd replace the accumulator with a new pressure switch then pull a long hard vacuum, checking for leaks and go from there. Note: a $10 can of 134A with a cheap hose and gauge won't do. Don't shoot any gas until you know for certain the system is tight.

Since these systems use so little gas now days you have to weigh it in, as in tenths of ounces. Gauges won't tell you how much gas you just crammed down the systems throat. Too little, too much and the system won't work very well. We're talking ounces here.

Since I have all the equipment and knowledge, I do all my AC work myself. To do it right it takes time which most shops won't do.
