I guess I should have a YouTube channel, then people probably would quote me in posts. I'm probably actually more knowledgeable than 95% of people on YouTube. If not more. I've not really scoured YouTube as to me it's basically crowd sourcing info. Crowds can be wrong.
Gotta look at a lot of videos and sources to find your truth...Nothing is absolute.

You know there is a transcript, right? I didn't see anything that jumped out. Since you have, perhaps you can share his credentials with us? What backs up his opinion besides a huge box of tools and some oil on the table?

This is what I never get about YouTube. You want to watch stuff for entertainment, fine. But its not a knowledge site. I will go looking for videos sometimes that show pictures or shots of something I want to see before doing it myself to get as many angles. Most of the time for that I have the person on mute.

There are some entertaining things, some guy posts engine tear downs and those are fun but he doesn't try to to be an expert, he gives you his opinion. It's mostly so you can see something torn down for your self.

If I can find instructions from the manufacturer or detailed pictures online I prefer that. For information I'd rather read technical papers and the encyclopedia (and a real one not Wikipedia which again is only good for "useless" knowledge but 1000% more believable than YouTube or a Podcast).

Posting a YouTube video is like saying, he go up to the corner and talk to Frank. Who is Frank and why do I care what he has to say? Screw Frank. If that sounds mean, well, it probably is.
Totally agree. Like adult movies, back in the day, it took a lot of work to produce. Today, any fool with a web cam can publish themselves. Entertaining as that might be to some, I prefer a professional not a hack.

If you knew anything about the history of the LT1 engine you would understand what he was saying. Kind of hard to follow for some people.
