Default memory seats

I'm having trouble programing my memory seats.when I push the button to program the position I want I only get one beep instead of the two I am supposed to get.I have tried turning the option on and off in the settings app but still can't get it to work.I should say I just bought this car from an estate ,it only has 4200 miles on it and it is a z51 optioned car.

On my 2017, I have to do the following:

1. Turn off auto-memory recall and easy exit in the infotainment.
2. Move the seat and steering wheel to my preferred positions.
3. Press the "Set" button - I receive one beep feedback.
4. Press and hold the number for the memory position I am trying to set until I receive two beeps feedback.
5. Move the seat all the way back, move the steering wheel all the way in and up.
6. Press the "Set" button - I receive one beep feedback.
7. Press and hold the easy exit setting button until I receive two beeps feedback.
8. Turn on auto-memory recall and easy exit in the infotainment.

After you do this, you'll have to figure out which key fob is tied to which memory seat position. Now, every time I get in the car with my preferred key fob, the car automatically moves the seat and wheel to memory position 1 when I turn the ignition on (my car is manual, so I can either start the engine or press the brake and hold the start button for 10 seconds to turn the car to ignition on with the engine off) and automatically moves to the easy exit position when I open the doorafter turning the ignition off.

If you are following this procedure, are you getting to step 4 or 7 and not receiving the two beeps?

First of all, replace the car battery and fob batteries. Old or weak batteries will cause you no end of grief from various gremlins.

Seat memory changed a bit over the C7 run. Here's the Chevy document with all of the details. Note that if you have a 2014 M7 there is a software patch to improve function.
