I want to upgrade the interior of my 2015 C7 3 LT and would like to install a carbon fiber dashboard (I'm not sure whether to go for matte or glossy... ) and replace the screen, which is covered in scratches.
I found this reference number for the screen: 86542368, but I don't know if it's plug & play or if it needs to be reprogrammed for my 2015 model.
I would really appreciate some help before ordering it, as I live in Europe and it's quite difficult to find information here!
The screen itself, which includes the HVAC controller, does NOT need to be programmed to match your VIN. It is plug-and-play.
Looks like 84389613 is for the GM CF dash itself, not the screen. I think new screens themselves are not available from GM any longer, unless you find a new one that someone happens to have on the shelf. Used ones are plentiful, but expensive. There are shops here in the US that will rebuild them, but I don't know about Europe. Check ebay for a used one.
There are Chinese units that will fit in the same spot, but I do not think any are "dual" so you will loose all access to the stock infotainment features and settings. I have one that is dual but it is a tablet style so it comes with totally different dash.

Thank you very much for your reply and for the information.
Yes, sorry for getting the GM number wrong when I copied it. I think the correct one is 86542368. If you tell me it's plug & play and doesn't need to be reprogrammed, you'll make my day.
I'm trying to get a new screen, although I've seen that GM stopped manufacturing them some time ago. Let's see if I'm lucky.
As for the Chinese screens, I wouldn't want to lose the car's functions such as the NPP!
The two companies below are authorized repair centers for the infotainment screen unit. I see a couple of options - can you ship yours to them and they replace the damaged screen? Or, do they have a new or refurbished unit they can sell you? Regardless, since they're in the US, shipping may take a while, and be costly.

The store ended up referring me to Specmo, telling me that they have new screens in stock. I've contacted them to see what they say.
My intention is to buy a new screen if possible, because the current one has a lot of marks due to poor workmanship by a repair shop in the famous blue cable repair.
i have a screen question also. Often when starting the car, the screen is blank. If i move the screen, even the slightest amount, it comes back on. This has been happening for about two weeks now. Any advice would be appreciated, thx

Often it works best to just do a google (or whatever you search engine is) search. You come up w/ a lot of junk but usually threads from this forum will be in the results somewhere.
