I bought a wrecked 2017 Z06 convertible, manual trans, with Z07 and Magnuson that I parted out and put all the good stuff in a 2016 Corvette Z06 - Z07 Coupe which was totally stripped of all the mechanical parts. The 2016 has all the computers except the ECM, which I have from the 2017 Z. I have the changes to the wiring covered, using the manual trans harness and changed the clutch/brake pedal wiring.
Does anyone know how I can tell/program the BCM that it is a manual? Or is that info held in the ECM? In the C6s, we can just use tech 2 to change tehg RPO codes, but I do not know the procedue for a C7. A secondary question, would I need to change the VIN on the ECM or just rerun the immobilizer config to have the BCM recognize it?
In case anybody’s curious, I had to program the BCM and the ECM with a VIN that was a manual transmission then change the VIN on both. The ECM was easy just using HP Tuners, I had to send the BCM out to have somebody custom code it.
