GM told Car and Driver that a fully optioned Z06 with Z07 will cost under $100,000.
I think that's phenomenal... Sounds like the car with its multiple trim levels, Z07 package, and 3 different level of aero options will be priced in such a way that they should range from the mid-upper $70,000.00's to $99,999.99
Doesn't sound like it's being priced out of the market, considering the auto is extra... 3LZ probably isn't for everyone, and the Z07 package sounds like it'll be priced well since all they've mentioned is it adds the carbon brakes and the adjustable wickle spoiler... But that's just a guess to be fair. I'm hoping it's like the Z51 package which I feel might be the case and be very well priced for what it is.
If they let a fully loaded trimmed ZO7 go for less than 100,000............... even if it is only one penny less they will lower the cost of ultra performance enough to create a "ZO6" only class on tracks around the world

Well.... Sounds like they'll see a lot of them then. Hell they might even be able to make it into a business.
But seriously, if that pricing stays that will make the Z06 an amazing deal. Considering what you got for the same money last year?

Because so far we only saw it with Carbon brakes, so i might had miss !
They're 14.6 fr and 14.4 r steel brakes... Pretty much the same as the C6Z if I recall correctly? 6 pot front 4 pot rear.
80K base up to about 105K completely loaded. Tadge has already come out with his hat in hand saying that this car needs to be a success or it's likely dead going forward. IMO that means 4-5000 cars per year over the life span of the C7 platform. Don't think for a second that Team Corvette hasn't taken notice of the complete disaster that SRT has rolled out. $100000+ American sport cars will not sell in volume, ever, and they know that. This car at 90K (which is likely where the majority will be optioned at) will be an incredibly compelling option to anyone considering a high end sports car. I have been trolling the Viper and GTR boards and in an environment where Corvettes are typically dismissed, there is a strong majority of positive comments concerning the new Z.

They have all that posted up on Chevys website.
The C7 Z06 Steel brakes are now Brembo (I think C6 Z06 had Australian PBR calipers). Also, front rotors (and maybe rear) are two piece (aluminum hat) for weight loss. Looks like better airflow for cooling now too.
with the Z28 start at 75k
and u guy expect the Z06 from 70 to 100??
then who will buy the Z28.
i believe the Z06 will start from 90 and up to 120..
Look at the BMW 6 series. and M6.
the Z06 was more expensive than the M6 E63 few years ago. Now the M6 jump up to > 110k.
I bet the Z06 will jump up too..

Hate to burst the bubble of anyone hoping for a 70K ish base price, but from Autoblogs article today:
"Juechter tells Autoblog that if you were able to afford a C6 ZR1, you can afford a new Z06"
Not surprising to me... Disappointing, but not surprising.
The "ZR1" portion of this was IMO misquoted. Tadge has been quoted before saying "if you can afford a C6 Z06 you will be able to afford a C7 Z06". They know that they can't support the program with the sales that a 120K car generates..... See Viper, SRT... DOA.
Actually it is true though.... If you could afford a C6 ZR1 you most certainly will be able to afford a C7 Z06. Perhaps he just answered the question he was asked without offering any more.

Z28 is not even in the same league.... That is a stripped down purpose built race car that has very little appeal to anyone as a daily driver or weekend cruiser. If you are going to compare Camaros, use the ZL1 at 55K for your arguement. Then ask who will pay an extra 25K for the new Z... Answer, a lot.

This has already been debunked. IT will not be $90-120k as you suggest.
Expect to see the new Corvette Z06 hit dealers in early 2015. Pricing has not yet been announced, but Chevrolet says that we can expect an MSRP that’s very close to that of the outgoing model.
