Could it get into the 9's with some simple mods?
8 speed automatic 2015 Z06:
1) Delete cats
2) P315/35R20 Nitto NT05R Drag Radials
3) Aftermarket air intake
4) 100-150 shot N20 wet kit
Stock (560 - 600 rwhp): 10.8 – 11.0 @ 128 – 132mph ??
With above mods (680 - 750rwhp): 9.9 – 10.2 @ 138 – 144mph ??
I figure as long as you do not tune the car or change the pulley, if something ever happened with the drivetrain, you could just remove the N20 kit for warranty purposes as none of the other mods would (should not) cause any issues with the drivetrain warranty.
Being an automatic, the nitrous is the way to go for that little extra bump during warranty period and it would be less than $1,000 or so.
N20 was too risky for a nitrous backfire with the 6 speeds in the current Z06 and ZR1’s.

Ill let you know in about a year.... As far as bone stock... I feel it will go 10.5 pretty easy.... I think a pulley and tune and in good air will be close to going 9's

spdmn75, yes I had nitrous on my 2007 Z06 and my 2004 Viper at one time. I had the full deal setup too, with window switches, throttle switches etc. Both were wet kits. On both cars I had a few instances of small nitrous backfires when shifting, mostly my fault and luckily no damage. So I went N/A with the Z06 and put a blower on the Viper.
Not saying that you cannot make nitrous work well on a stick car as it certainly will, but there is a little more risk involved when you have driver error. It can be an expensive mistake with a missed shift/shift into the wrong gear on the spray.
Auto is the way to go with nitrous in my opinion. The single reason I will by the new Z is due to the auto availability. Then I am going to spray it.

I have ported several hundred CTS-V, ZL1 and ZR1 superchargers and throttle bodies. I will be doing the same on the C7 Z06. I bet that with headers, a tune and tires and it will be in the 9's.

My recipe would be:
1) Cold air intake
2) Headers/off road pipes
3) Ported throttle body
4) Mild pulley size change
5) Tuning
6) Drag radials
Potentially reliable high 9s at over 135+mph for well under $5k in mods.
Add in a higher stall converter as well for another $1200.00 with labor and it could be mid 9s.

deleting the cats is not going to do anything other then make your wife bitch that your car stinks and your clothes too!
Adding No2 is silly on a 6 figure car..."yo man! I added 250 shot of No2 on my cavalier and now it runs 15s" Who the cares!
just my .02

Good air at a good prepped track I think 10.4 will be straight out of the box.
Add this and I think 9.8? with auto trans and a decent driver.
1)Cold air intake
2) Headers
3) pulley
4) Tuning
5) Drag radials

Pulley?
Dumb question, but is this supercharger design a traditional one or the bizarre one we saw in patent applications that had the rotor that spun (or appeared to) parallel to the ground? I know the flow is rated lower (1740 vs. 2300), but I wasn't sure of the configuration.

Keep in mind that C6 ZR1s (manual trans of course) have gone 10.3s and even a 10.2 at over 135mph with the only change/addition from showroom stock being rear tires/wheels (drag radials).
Slightly more power but also nearly 3500 pounds with driver.
This new Z06 should be just as capable (if not more so), especially the automatic.

All it needs is alky injection, tune, more boost and rear wheels/tires for dragging. I wouldn't even try the standard stuff like CAI and headers, knowing what I know now about spraying alky.

Refer to the Z51 which already did this!

My friends with only a full drag pack trapped 136.7 but the tracks' prep was crap so he "only" ran 10.7. Auto Z06s have the potential to be nasty!!!!
