BTW...NT-05s IMO get pretty slippery once they are really hot on the track. I'd rather run the MPSS in 18/19 sizes for the money.
yes I am thinking ccw wheels, my car will be a tracked, I need good wearing track tires that have good grip all the way to the threads. PS cups are only great for a few days and run flats are too heavy.
My PS cups get slippery as well, they heat cycle out quickly. They may offer more grip when good but I'd rather run a tire that last longer and is cheaper to maintain. Usually only run 20-30 min sessions anyways, probably a good thing to, having a SC.

I track my car a lot and have had great luck with Hoosier R6's. Almost as grippy as a full slick but more predictable at the limit. They will "talk" to you before they let go. Last time I ordered they were a little less than comparable PS2's. This is a little like comparing apples to oranges since I run 18" CCW's all the way around and do not need a 19" slick tire. I'm not sure how much a 19" R6 is or if they even exist.

So you have a z06(z07) or zr1 running those widths on 18's now? That would be a good choice.

Yes, I have a highly modified 2007 ZO6 that is pretty much a dedicated track car. I occasionally run it on the street but its very uncomfortable at this point for street driving.

My 18" CCW's are great. I have three sets for the track. I run 315mm for the fronts and 345mm for the rear. Never had any issues with clearance although I do have the LG World Challenge suspension with huge sways, coil overs, Pfadt camber kit, SKF bearings...etc.. The front 315 R6's really help in braking . I usually run at Watkins Glen and can brake from 160mph down to 90 mph in about 250 ft. The car is also pretty balanced now (with the wider front R6's) and predictably slides on all 4 wheels. No more under steer like it has with the factory set up. Soooo much fun!!

Thanks looks like some good options.

Forgeline makes an 18" that will clear the ZR1's front caliper. Assuming all of the measurements are the same, there's no reason to believe the same wheel won't clear the new Z07's. But we'll have to wait for folks to get their hands on one to know for sure. I'm a fan of using 18s as, like you say: much more choice for rubber. The Michelin Cup tires are superb, they're just silly, silly expensive.

A buddy of mine who tracks his Z06 swears by those Hoosiers. Only issue is when they get hot they pick up EVERYTHING off the track. He puts that 3M sticky protective film on the sides of his car so that the crap coming off the track doesn't sandblast his paint.
