Has anyone run across any information that would indicate if the base model Z06 will have any type of aero package? I read there will be 3 different version/stages but not clear if one of those comes on the base model. Specifically interested in knowing if it comes with a splitter and rocker panels.
It was stated it comes with a splitter and small winglet thing on front with the spats on wheelwheels but no rocker things. And the standard z51 rear spoiler. Next model up has the splitter and rocker things in think carbon fiber or carbon flash and non adjustable bigger spoiler and the top has the adjustable spoiler also and biggest winglets.
They should add one more option . No front splitter. And as said offer bit smaller tire that would fit under the front fenders with no fugly spats on the wheelwheels. They could use smaller rim if needed to do this if smaller tire won`t work.
Basically like the c6 z06 came with. No front splitter and no fugly spats.
I am really hoping GM does this. Hopefully they read this board or if someone works there and can get the word to the right people would be great. I plan on maybe buying the lowest aero package and would then remove the splitter and possibly change tire size or wheel sizes and take off the spats myself. I hate the spats..HATE THEM!
And front splitter will not last very long with my driveway.

Why not just have them professionally painted in exact body color instead of going through all of that?
Personally, I'd hate to throw off the 'balance' of the suspension/handling capabilities simply due to some minor cosmetic grievance.
Its true that the basic Z06 has a Z51 type rear spoiler and no side skirts. But it does not have the flat shelf-type front splitter with end caps. It has a molded black plastic piece that curves around the side and blends in more smoothly with the shape of the bumper. It eliminates that gap appearance across the front where the CF splitters hang below the bumper.

This would be my preference. A CF splitter would never last for me anyway. I can't recall seeing any full photos of this package- have I missed them or do they just not exist yet?.

On my county roads, a "shelf" type splitter would be trashed the first trip. I'm just going to sit back and wait till I can see the different trim levels on the finished product. Till then, all is speculation. I may ultimately end up buying a C7 vert just to putt about with.
There was a recent post with pics of a few camo z06's and it showed the base splitter and z51 spoiler, no rockers.
I just took another look at those shots and couldn't really tell any more by them than I did the first time. I can wait until they pull the camo off to see how it looks with real color.

My country driveway doesn't help either. With my C6 Z06, if I slow to a crawl I can just barely keep the splitter from scraping the concrete as I start going uphill.
I've been thinking that the Z06 won't really be suitable as a daily driver, especially if it's lowered, unless you have nearly ideal roads and are very careful approaching driveways. Hopefully that will create opportunities as people decide to get rid of them.

Base C7s have a better approach angle than base C6s. I wouldn't be surprised if base C7 Z06s have a better approach angle than base C6 Z06s
Interesting spy shot! Based on the flat-contoured less-aggressive front splitter, this mule looks like a probable Stage 1 Z06... no winglets for S1. Also notice the other Z06 in the background which has the larger Stage 2 rear spoiler (or a Stage 3 with the adjustable Z07 see-through wickerbill removed). Tailight lens look like the red standard though, not clear or tinted. Anyway, the suspense continues...
Why not just put the z06 emblems on your c7 and the wickerbill spoiler...all your friends will be impressed and the guys that know the difference already know you are a poseur anyway. That way you get rid of those ugly spats and gravel road/steep driveway problems. ha.
