I received notice this morning that consensus cycle 1 begins (earlier than I expected). I'm #1 with my dealer (6 MY 15 allocations) and the consensus revealed that he received approval to proceed with the first order.
The cycle closes on Monday at 9 pm EST.
Now we'll see what the constraints are. I'm ordering an M7, so I have at least cleared that hurdle.
I'm interested to hear whether anyone else has received notice to proceed?
I am #1 at a dealership and 2-3 at another. The #1 allocation wants to charge me $5k over, but they did just receive the allocation. I think it rather wait for a while than pay over MSRP. Surprised they won't come down. The market seems to be at MSRP for the most part, excepting certain trade areas.
Yup, just spoke to my dealer and they've got their first Z06 allocated today. I'm 2 (of 16) on the list so I only get a shot at it if the first guy passes on it. Although with 3LZ/Z06/A8 package I suspect I'll be passing on the first few weeks as well. It's cool that they started a week early tho.

Did you ask or would they know what the TPW would be on that 1st unit?
I asked, he said he didn't know ... I only spoke to my salesman tho, perhaps managers have this info.
Question, can the TPW for this round of ordering for the Z be anytime in the future? Congrats to all who will have their orders picked up this first order period.

I feel like I should know this, but what does TPW mean?
As I just mentioned over on SF, I did briefly talk with my dealer this morning and will have a chance to talk with him more at length tomorrow. He said that he has been told that the Z06 ordering section should be active by the time the consensus closes Monday night. I will find out more from both he and the district sales manager tomorrow and report back. Of course, as with the allocation delay, anything is possible. At least progress is being made...baby steps.
I'm trying not to get too excited, because I'm expecting some constraints, and am also not too keen on being in the first batch that gets set aside for QA.
I got the call today also that they have a car in the first consensus but don't know the constraints at this time. I am going to tailor my order to what's available without constraints. I usually get a new model each year so I can follow how the members like the Z07 package and the auto. I will order these if available but not optimistic about my chances.
What happens if you are number 1 on your dealers list but have the automatic ordered. Do you lose your place or do they put it in the system and fill the order when the automatics are available.
Does anyone know how this will work?
I'm in the same boat with the comp seats. I was told that since I was number one, I have two options. If the seats are on constraint then I either change my order or get bumped to next in line.

Dealer would have to order a manual or loose the allocation. Typically they would move you down to the next order spot. If the dealer has only two coming for the model year, that could be quite late. If the dealer has someone else looking for a manual, they would bump them up and build their car first. If nobody is on the list for the manual car the dealer has to order it for stock, or loose it.
