Default Constraint Interpretation - CFV / CFZ

Can someone clarify the constraints related to CFV and CFZ as shown below for the Z06? The first reference to CFZ indicates "option no longer available"; however, toward the end, CFZ is available at 20% minus the Z07 option. Does the list of constraints apply to all Corvettes or does part of the list apply to the Stingray and another part apply to the Z06?

Since availability of CFZ and CFV is limited, if you opt for neither to clear constraint hurdles or believe purchasing aftermarket may be more cost effective, what spoiler comes on the car? As I understand this, not ordering CFV or CFZ is Phase 1 aero which comes with the Z51 spoiler. Is that correct? If correct, is the Z51 spoiler black or color of the car? Thanks to those of you with the knowledge.

RPO............Description.............. ..................Availability

OK, here's my $0.02 worth. If you saw the graphic all that text was taken from, all but the last 3 items applied to corvettes in general, while the last three were Z06 specific. My interpretation is that that last item CFZ-Z07 at 20%, is specifically in there to override the earlier "CFZ- option no longer available" verbiage. As evidenced by the constraints on solid roofs, both Visible CF and body colored, Chevy is having trouble getting high quality Carbon Fiber parts for the cars, so they are restricting the CF ground effects to only the Z06s, with a further restriction of only 20% of the Z06s that don't have the track package can get the CF ground effects.

It is probable that Carbon Flash painted ground effects package CFV, is more plentiful because they don't have to meet the same quality standards as visible Cf with respect to appearance of the fiber weave. Same reason painted CF roofs are at 35% while visible CF roofs are at 20%. Last year when we did our delivery tour, we saw a whole rack of roofs that had been rejected by guys on the assembly line for one reason or another. Over half were visible CF, one was transparent, and the rest were painted CF.

That's my take.

BTW - the Z06 has it's own spoiler which is higher than the Z51, but not as high as the CFZ/CFV spoiler, which is then added to in the Z07 package.

I was told yesterday that exposed carbon fiber was on constraint.

Just for clarification the CFV is the visible carbon fiber ground
effects package where CFZ is the carbon-flash option.

Only the last three lines apply to the Z06. Those above relate to the Stingray.

Regarding the spoiler, the Z06 has two spoilers. The base version is a three-piece that is more agressive than the Z51 spoiler, supposedly with wickerbills. CFZ/CFV is a similar spoiler but about 1.25" taller. (Z07 adds the moveable clear center portion to the CFZ/CFV spoiler.).

The Z51 spoiler wouldn't look right on a rear deck that's as wide as the Z06.

But the rear deck isn't wider, correct? The wider body of the Z06 is due to the flared fenders & quarters. Isn't the rear deck panel & bumper fascia still the same width? (with exception of the wider exit vents)

No...even the taillights are further apart on the Z06 vs Stingray!

From what I have read, that may be incorrect. One person on another forum got his order for a Z06 passed by because he demanded a solid painted roof. So it sounds as if the roof restraints are platform-wide. The other ones may be also, although Z51 spoiler restraints won't affect a Z06 order.

The constraints are separate between Stingrays and Z06. Here is what the Z06 Constraints are:

Rear fascia is three inches wider, to be exact 3.0". The taillight housings are identical, and are consequently spaced three inches further apart.

Each dealer is assigned specific constraint quantities (Column 2) and then they can see their placed and test placed next to that (Columns 3 & 4).

CFZ-carbon Flash is on constraint unless ordered with the Z07 pkg!! My order which had CFZ on a non Z07 car was originally accepted Thur. was returned to the dealer this morning and told it was on constraint. His e-mail from GM stated to resubmit all orders from Thur and Fri. because the computer accepted constrained orders. So I had to pass or order CFV- visible carbon fiber or order CFZ with the Z07 pkg. So rather than pass, I ordered the CFV. Nothing is ever easy!!!!!!!! JD

So you can order a Z06 with the dual roof package and the FAY CF dash and all the other compatible options that are constrained on the base Stingray?

Just my opinion, but I doubt it.

Please clarify this.
I put a car together on paper, Z06 C7 package with all the toys and whistles with visible carbon fiber not the flash want a be carbon fiber. Stickers at about 107k
How many will be available and when? Am I dreaming to be able to get my hands on a car that's not available? Please talk to us in numbers in a year.

My experience has been that the c7 constraints are different. I ordered my car with CFZ and a painted roof. If we went by the c7 list CFZ is no longer available. My order status is now queued for production.
