Chrome vs. black wheels on a white Z06

Chrome was WORK too when cleaning but... chrome was a B to polish and get shinny where with black glossy wheels, a simple ONE WIPE did the trick.
I agree, get what you like. It's your car. The only one you need to impress is YOU.
THAT BEING SAID, Spectra grey wheels on white is pretty DOPE!

Not saying that gloss black is easier to keep clean, just saying that maintenance is greater on chrome rims ... so the choice should be made on personal preference regardless of maintenance/cleaning consideration.

I can deal with chrome if the rim's "lip" or face are accented by chrome, but rims that are all chrome come off looking like tin-foil or the chrome plated hubcaps sold at Wal-Mart...IMO.

Chrome wheels are the same as Gold emblems and exhaust tips.......imo.
Might as well get a Gold Tooth as well.

You can't beat glossy black wheels on a white (or light colored) sports car like the vette, its simply the hottest trend and look the last several years and looks bad azz on lighter colored vettes (white, yellow, silver, red) and other sport cars!

You're right its a trend, a fad. I'll be glad when the black wheel fad goes away.

Lol... Exactly! Blue jeans should be blue and wheels should be chrome! Colored wheels are just a fad... they have no curb appeal whatsoever!

I guess the majority of Vette owners are wrong and you are right though, huh...

^ Wow that's a lot of feels about a wheel finish.
Chrome wheels, although currently somewhat out of style, will work better on a standard C7 because there are at least some chrome elements like the grille trim to match them to. The Z06 has no chrome elements and the wheels would be the only chrome detail.
If chrome wheels are your thing by all means go for it, in fact it's a good way to stand apart from pretty much every C7 Z06 owner out there if that's important to you ... but there's no debating that it will be a contradiction to the design spirit of the Z06, which is basically meant to be a street legal track vehicle. And you don't see many chrome wheels on the C7R or its competition when they're racing.

Give it another 10 years and the demand for chrome rims will be less than 5% Doubt GM will even offer them.
