Default Show down!

My ZR1 is getting ready for the challenge from my C7 Z06.

The SS tire is a big factor for the Z06 as with the C7 so the ZR1 has lighter wheels at 5 pounds per corner and now NR SS tires 4-5 pounds per corner . (Stock Ps-2 is 36 pounds SS (non runflat) is 31#'s)

The ZR1 will have removed 9-10 pounds per corner.
JUST
Light weight wheels gain 2-3 tenths in the 1/4 mile as shown on the fast list.

My Z06 is staying bone stock but the ZR1 is getting the wheel and tire help. Should be very close!

Neither one will hang with the 3rd car in the stable. My 2008
Z06 with a ZR1 clutch and NEW 1400 CFM A&A kit ARH 1 7/8's headers.
Which yes it is coming back out again! Love the car too much to sell or trade!

Very lucky to soon have all 3 at once!

The SS tire is amazing for a street tire. The ZR1 will gain big time from the switch. I had a set on my second Z06.
The Ps-2 is way short of the SS in total grip.
The Michelin man was happy to see me buying over 3 grand in 8 SS tires today.

I just put one of Andy's kits on my C6 Z. Car makes 723 at the wheels on a 101 degree day with a DA of 5402. I also have a direct port fogger on the car that put the car in the 9's at 145mph...drove it to the track, then drove it home. Once you get the A&A on, hang on!!!! You're gonna lover it!!!!!!!

True. But I do believe the "light weight wheels/tires" being referred to there includes the use of skinnies (often more than just a 9-10 pound savings per wheel) on the front as well.
A 9 or 10 pound reduction per corner WILL improve acceleration notably but it won't be a full 2-3 tenths in the 1/4 mile of course.

You take a Zr1 and the chrome wheels and stock
Ps2's and swap with some PSS and light weight forged mono blocks and you will gain at least a couple tenths!
It not just the weight saving. It's the increase in traction! There is formula on rotating weight it is as
good as adding horsepower!

The 2014 C7 Stingray getting traded for a C7 Z06.
