Hard to tell without a closeup,

I can see where a new spoiler might offered in the future that could be more radical in appearance (like a low wing type) but not cause such an abrupt change of airflow direction.

The new video also appears to show the big carbon brakes. Those
yellow calipers are huge !!!

The new 2016 Camaro looks to be faster than the previous model. But it certainly does not carry the corner speed like the Vette though.

Could be Blade Silver too. Those black wheels do hide the brakes.

Yes it would but if it don't beat the old record by at least a minute they'll still bitch anyway....

I know it's blasphemy on a corvette forum, but since I've owned a Vette I can say it. Large displacement push-rod V8's all sound the same, like truck engines and aren't very impressive. I much prefer high revving lower displacement DOHC engine sounds like from Ferrari.

But then again I don't particularly like the sound of Porsche's/flat engines either. Jag and Aston make some nice sounds...

Looks very slow compared to the Z28.

It's kinda weird but whenever I tune in to watch the 24hrs at LeMans I'm always surprised to hear the announcers always comment that the fans go crazy for the sound of the big American V8's.
LOL, they're bored by the buzzy high revving Ferrari sounds. I guess it's just what you are used to hearing all the time. Anything else sounds excotic.

Here's the Silver ZO6 from the ED Tankstelle Petrol station on the Web Cam from Bridge to Gantry. See post #144 above

You can forget about that. The tires are the single most important piece that makes the Z07 faster. Non-Z07s would not even get close to ZR1 times. Look at how slow the ZR1 was before Chevy dressed it in cup tires.

Want to know why the Z28 is fast? 305 section all around stickier than cup2 tire.

If Nissan dresses the Nismo GTR in Trofeo R tires...run.

Jim Mero is so consistent! He's always over a G in braking and cornering even on these blind turns. Even on the smallest corners he pops it up to a G. I wish I could drive like that, especially on the Nurburgring.

I agree, but to compare the new Super Sport tires to what the C6 Z cars had prior to the Sport Cups would not be giving the new SS tires their due. Look at how the new Z51 C7 with more weight and less power caught up to the ZO6 times mostly due to the new SS tire.

They are not as good as PSC's but so much closer that it is now ridiculous to run cups on the street with such a close alternative available that is rated for 35,000 miles of "normal street driving" versus footage for the cups

Better sure. The new SS tires still won't even be close to the old Cups.

The new Cup 2 are rated 180 threadwear compared to 220 on the new SS. Thats not nearly as much of a difference as last year's cups at 80. The difference in wear will be minimal

Hey Dirk, No problem. It's always fun to hook up with you and talk Vettes. And your GS looks great. Love the color. Tomorrow we should see some runs during the Industry pool late in the afternoon. I will monitor Bridge to Gantry and post if it happens. I'll check in later with you.
