Can anyone confirm the z06 will be running the same tire setup as the zr1..
Im trying to explore tire options and I don't see much at other than the 2 pilots offered by gm for z06 and z07

Yes the exact same size. I don't think the SS and Cup2 show up as avalible yet to the public. I would think once the C7 Z06 starts shipping they will be made avalible.

The Super Sport and Sport Cup 2 will be avalible in Z06/ZR1 sizes soon and they will still have the PS2 and Cup ZP for awhile. For the rear tire size (335/25/20) there is no other manufacturer currently.

Yeah got to go 345s but it's the same diameter if I'm not mistaken so no harm. However I'm sure the op was looking for more of a street tire.

Don't think they make an R6 or A6 for a 20" wheel, which the rears are.
If so I would have already had a set.

Yep, right now the only "R" tire that is avaliable for the rear is the Cup and soon to be Cup2. I have been running Cups until I can pick up a set of 18" CCWs.

Basically, you are stuck with two Michelin tire choices: sticky and non-sticky.

I figure I'll wear out two sets of rears and one set of fronts. Then I can get a different set of wheels either 18" 19" or 19" all around.

I am wondering if you will be able to find and 18" wheel for the C7 Z06? I thought the brake rotor diamater was slightly larger than the ZR1, which just barely fits into a few 18" wheels.

No, 11" up front and 13" rear

No, 11" up front and 13" rear
Most vendors and gurus say the the brakes and offsets are the same as ZR1.

18x11 and 18x13 does seem to be the fastest combo. Maybe you can get Volk to make you a set, then you also have the best structure.

I thought the CCWs required spacers for the front, no? I know for a fact that Forgeline makes 18 inchers that clear the ZR1's front caliper. But you'll pay more for the Forgelines than you will the CCWs. I imagine that the same Forgelines will clear the caliper on the Z06 as well...

Not the offset I am concerned about. I think the C7 Z06 rotor is 0.2" larger in diamater than the ZR1 and that might be enough to not make it fit inside an 18". As it is now only CCW, Finspeed, and Forgeline make an 18" that will fit over the ZR1 brakes.

I think you can get CCWs made with the correct offset for the ZR1 but the ones made orginally for a Z06 need a small spacer in the front.

Yeah, I guess .01" each side is not all that much.

There are GTR guys running Finspeed 18's over 400mm bbk's. The new Z06 is only 394mm.
