It's not until your right up on it that you realize its a grey paint with black metallic hence Carbon Flash Metallic. The paint is always mentioned when I drive the car. But from a distance it looks nearly black. Following pic is of a zo6 centennial. I have cyber grey metallic Camaro and this CFM paint is a completely different level. Around 400 GS's 200 zo6 and 100 ZR1's were lucky enough to be covered in that magic. Zo6 below
I seriously considered the color for my V, but ended up with the Black Raven (a gorgeous color IMO).
The problem I ultimately had with the BD is I realized that at a glance and at a distance it looks like black with an overdose of water spots.
I agree with you. I almost picked it for my last V. Also wondered how easy or hard it would be to match in case of the inevitable trip to the body shop for something big or small. Ended up with black raven with black/saffron interior. Beautiful car. Wish I had kept it.
I liked the carbon flash on my Stingray and know what to expect. To me the CFZ ground effects match was a no brainer.
