Default How long before GM announces a price increase?

Now that some of the raving reviews are out, do you think GM will do a price increase. I think the $80K was a teaser starting price. I'm guessing by March 2015 we will see at least a $2500 price increase.

Default Expect to Pay a Lot More than Sticker for a Z06

I think the price increase will happen after those pesky markups have eased. Like George Vee, I'm expecting a $5K increase.

Real soon, since the gas guzzler tax will be added (at least on the Auto, maybe the 7 spd.) It was initially reported that there would not be one, so that's a $1300 increase from what people thought they would pay.

As for the first increase, I would not be surprised if we see a mid year bump. The Z51 stingray went up $3200 about six months into production.

look at the history of corvette sales thru out, and discounts offered
to move them

c6,i said 2 years ago he who waits will get Hugh discounts

c6 zr1 $10 over the last ones were nearly 20 under to move

c7 well I think you get the picture did you ever see Kerbeck discount

the factory will produce as many c7 zo6s as it can GM gets there $

market forces will determine the outcome there are more 600 and above HPower coming on the market every year that's the beauty of the c/forum you can see the dealer network at a click to who's discounting, a lot happens in a year. Drive safe

The discounts everyone talks about for the base car bring it down to about what we early adopters paid before the price increases on the first '14s. Marketing works I guess. Raise MSRP, dealers then "discount" the car to the original MSRP, demand stays strong while people think they got a deal by waiting...

If you ordered a car today you would get it in mid 2016 that means that a whole lot of cars have already been ordered and the prices of those are already locked in are the not?
If that's the case then any price increases will be for cars well after the 2015 .

Price you pay is entirely up to when you get your allocation. If you have a deposit in, without going to order accepted (3000 status I believe), if the price goes up, you'd have to pay it.

Default Really?

Does that even include those that have a down payment and have made that payment on the price listed on the order today, regardless of whether that order is 1200 or 3000?

My purchase vehicle contract has all pricing agreed to. Are you saying I would still have to pay an increase?

I ask because most in Canada will not get delivery until Spring through lack of choice when that allocation is paired with the order to move forward.

I've been told that none of the cars "produced" as of today have been invoiced by GM. That could be because of the pending gas guzzler add on, that we are all firmly against!!! RIGHT?

Any of the M7 guys actually pay for their car yet?

Kerbeck has over 60 Z06's on their website listed as in bound and available. How can GM raise a price on something that is not moving? I know they are M7 cars but still I was surprised to see that many available already.

I will be shocked if M7 cars are not under msrp in the next month or 2.
May be only a grand or 2 but I think it is coming.

I don't think that is true. If so then GM should definitely clamp down on hoarder dealers!!

And GM always has a tendency to over-produce Corvette's. It's a Halo car and they should have better control of not allowing dealers to over-order and hoard the cars that wind up sitting on the lot too long resulting in discounts. It maybe good for the guy that just bought the discounted car, but not so good for the guy that bought the car just a few months prior or for the guy that doesn't want to go far and rather put his/her money into their local community.

Got it. Thanks. It's just another stupid edict from GM. Build a bunch of cars and make the dealers take them, even though the majority of pre-orders are for the A8. Same putz that put the bar code reader stamp on the bottom of heavy objects.
