Hi Guys

This car arrives at my local dealership soon and I have the opportunity to buy it. Is it missing anything critical (or cool?).

Thanks

This is a stage 1 aero car.... If that matters to you the aero pieces will be available aftermarket very soon

Also, before you commit to this car you should make sure the Competition Seats are comfortable to your body type

Seems like there will be an inventory of M7 cars. I wouldn't settle for anything less than exactly the car you want

Hope it work out for you

Do you really want the Z07 package? It's pretty extreme for a daily driver but very potent as a track car. I'm told it won't be as comfortable a ride as with a non-Z07 car. If you're planning to track the car a lot, then it sounds amazing. The Stage 2 & 3 Aero packages are on constraint so if you really want one of them, you're going to have to wait a bit, so I'm told.

Actually, the 1YZ07 designates this as a Z07 (which means it's a stage 3). The CFZ/CFV only designates the finish of the aero parts, and doesn't have anything to do with which stage it is.

i may be wrong but i thought 1YZ07 just code for Z06! it would have CFZ/CFV on if it was a Z07

Oh Three Z is correct, this a a stage one car. The 1YZ07 code is the code for all of the new Z06 Coupes (regardless of aero package, or other options). The convertible Z06 is 1YZ67. The CFZ/CFV designates finish of the stage 2/ stage 3 components, but you need to have one or the other code on the car for it to be a stage two or higher -- the Z or V indicates the type of finish (Z = Carbon Flash and V = visible carbon fiber).

As for the comp seats, whoever said you should try to sit in them before buying the car, gave you good advice. I really like the way they look, but then sat in one and sat in the GT seat, and ended up opting for the GT seat. I could live with the comp seat, and if the car was going to see a lot of track time would have gotten it, but the GT seat was more comfortable.

Good luck with your decision.

That is correct. It would have CFZ or CFV of it was either a stage 2 non-Z07 or Stage 3 Z07. The code for the stage 3 Z07 package is . . . . "Z07".

It would have been at the bottom of the order sheet after the VV4.

Sorry...I stand corrected. Although, intetestingly, I went back and looked at the Workbench doc from the dealer, and the version from NCM...and some of the nomenclature is different.

You have the highest trim level (3LZ at $8,650) and few other options. The only other options are Competition Seats with suede inserts and wheel ($2,495)and the carbon-fiber dash trim ($995). Total MSRP is $91,135.

Oddly, your listing does not include any wheels. I assume the order does not include any of the extra-cost wheel options.

As several people have pointed out, your car does not include any of the extra-cost aero options, some of which will eventually be available in the aftermarket, and it is not the super-duper track-focused version (Z07 option). But it is otherwise very nicely configured, particularly from a comfort and convenience point of view. If you are OK with a black-on-black car it sounds pretty good to me.

Pretty much the same as my car:
I went with the Q6U, Black wheels for the Triple Black look.
I also did not get the suede on the comp seats.
AND I will be getting the A8.

Other than that, that is my order!

The crystal red highlights will be added to my CFZ (aftermarket purchase), and the calipers will be painted CR as well.

Very masculine, aggressive looking car, GREAT CHOICE!!!

Wow, thank you for the discussion! I feel way more comfortable with the specs of this vehicle.

Now on to the price.... they are asking for a 15k markup and that is after getting them down from originally asking 25k. I don't really care too much about paying a mark up, but don't want to pay for one if the demand isn't there to command one. Thoughts on this?

Edit: By the way they are unable to tell me what this car will sticker for just that it will be marked up 15k.

Check the Black cars at Kerbeck that you can buy now for MSRP... not $15k over!!

NEVER PAY OVER MSRP...NEVER

They have several that are not spoken for with the M7.
The order may be able to be changed to a local dealer via courtesy delivery OR just have Kerbeck ship it to you.
