Is there any way to determine if there are any Z06 verts earlier than #1580, or is mine the 1st one?

Looks like yours is the first one on the Forum anyway. Got me beat out by a couple days and 9 vin#s :-) There may be other verts built before yours that are owned by people not on the forum but not sure how we could find out, I'd love to hear some stats on numbers of convertibles ordered to date. Has yours shipped yet? Mine is sitting in the parking lot at Bowling Green.

It was supposed to go to the museum for delivery, but I'm having it rerouted to MacMulkin in Nashua, NH; it shouldn't be too long. When I ordered the Z back in early September, GM was talking about not even building the coupes until January, and the verts in the 2nd quarter. While, orders can take 2 months from the time the order is placed with allocation, I never thought back in September that it was going to be build in December.

My Z06 vert has the Z07 pkge with the cup2 tires. I was not looking forward to driving it approximately 1,150 miles home to the Boston area. Any salt currently on the road would be enough of a deterrent even if it had different tires.

The museum will still get paid; I'll have 12 months to show up at the museum for whatever ceremony and tour they give. I'll probably drive down there for the April Bash; haven't done that since 2013.

Too bad this week's upper 40's to upper 50's weather couldn't continue for the rest of the winter.

Our cars may end up being travel buddies on the big green grasshopper. I did the exact same thing, was doing museum delivery, but I can't get down there before 1/22 and I know my luck and there will be a freakin' blizzard or snow storm that weekend, so rerouted back to Sport Chevrolet here in MD. I'm going back to Bowling Green in May with my buddies from the Grand Sport registry and will do my tours then, plus they have a track day reserved for that trip, which will make up for me not getting to see the car on the museum floor. I already have my hotels booked for the week-long trip with detours through Tail of the Dragon on the way.

Good choice not driving 1100 miles on those Sport Cups in January!

When I originally ordered the car I didn't think we'd see them before end of February and I would have picked up in March. But driving through the mountains in January seemed too risky.

The red looks so classy, I love it. It is one of those colors that not only showcases the car's masculinity, but also keeps it mature. it goes great with the black wheels also.

Built on 12/13/2014, I never got a scheduled delivery date. I am having it rerouted to dealer. Have 12 months to do delivery ceremony; nay drive it down for the April Bash.
