That's called the "Off Topic" section or the "Political" section. I don't get a vote, but I'm casting it anyway: a separate section isn't necessary IMHO. Folks need to patiently wait for the furor to die down, and for the usual trolls to wander away. Once those things happen, this section will be fine to discuss both waxing and racing.
