Default Adding PDR after build complete

I didn't add the PDR at the time of the build. Figured I wouldn't track her, so didn't need it. Plus, I had to stop the bleeding on price somewhere.

Having just returned from Spring Mountain and really enjoying the PDR equipped cars there, I now regret not having it. I've emailed my dealer asking if/how it can be added now, after the build is complete.

Anybody know anything on this?

What is your order Event Code?
Possible to make the change? Definitely try to halt the production for the change. You will get restarted in the build cycle, which will result in a delay, but that is the tradeoff.

Not possible after the fact as it is included with the Navigation. Wiring changes, etc. just too much.

She's sitting in my garage. 12/4 delivery date. 700 miles thus far. Wish it was as easy as making a change order.

Thats cheaper than the $1800 we all paid. Now the install maybe where they get you. Let us know I have heard so many people say they wish they had got it. Doesn't help I post new videos every week of me on the track. Hopefully you can get it worked out. Its well worth the time and money.

Your first video is what pushed me over the edge to get a new Z06/Z07 and of course with PDR. So I blame you for me running out of garage space!

You aren't the first to tell me this. I do carry body guards with me at track events to watch my back.

Its addicting I know. You didn't go wrong. Now get out on a track and show us your videos.

The PDR allows everyone to enjoy the lap as much as you do. I think its the best option available.

Default Post those PDR vids peeps.

It is the best option! Probably attracting more and more orders for the Z06.

Your vids are my new favorite form of entertainment.......

No. Said no one at the dealership could do the install. Odd, but I didn't push. Gonna ask around Dallas.

I also bought my Z06 without PDR, but only because I got such a good deal on the car, it had everything else I needed, except the PDR. I thought I could do without it, so I called the Parts Manager, said not only could he not sell it, they would not install it at the dealership. If someone knows different, I would love to know, because I would be the first one inline to get one.

I've heard it cannot be added, after the fact...

Is there anyone out there that's done it? If so, how?

I don't see how it would be feasible to install one. It's integrated into the ECM to record and store 32(?) channels of data, along with the programming and hardware install it would probably be far more cost effective to run something like a SmartyCam HD with an OBD adapter to capture data.

This.

PDR cars have a camera in the mirror, a slot for the SD card, the programming and hardware connecting it all up.

It's not something that can just be added in IMO without a HUGE undertaking.

Except if all the cabling is already installed on all Z06...

Not too sure that GM do a different harness for car without PDR, that will not be cost effective.

Lawdogg, I would love to watch those videos. Where do you post them? You can PM me a link to your youtube channel if you have one.
