Default [VR] Flex Fuel Corvette C7 Z06 - 734.56whp / 761.52wtq - Pics, dyno graphs and video!

We had a local customer of ours that has been a long time car enthusiast that became really interested in the new C7 Z06. After some searching around, he found a M7 car with the Z07 package at a dealership here in town. We generally have two types of customers when it comes to new cars. One group likes to drive the car in stock trim for awhile before jumping into modding the platform. Then, we have a second group that delivers the car to us with dealer tags on it and wants to go full tilt right off the bat. Warranties are for people that don't want to go fast and this insane looking black Z06 was ready for upgrades.

This customer of ours has been following our shop C7 Z06 closely and wanted to do the exact same build minus the methanol injection. This brought a full bolt-ons, cam and heads package in with a flex fuel setup to run both 93 octane and e85.

C7 Z06 Modifications Installed:
  • VR CNC LT4 Cylinder Heads
  • VR Stage I Camshaft w/ DOD/AFM Delete and 32% fuel lobe (220's duration/STOCK driveability)
  • ARH longtube header system w/ CATTED x-pipe
  • Stock mufflers
  • VR 2.38” Upper Pulley kit w/ 10-bolt hub
  • IW Balancer w/ VR lower pulley ring
  • VR Flex Fuel Kit for C7/Z06
  • VR modified aFe cold air intake system
  • VR spark plug wire insulators
  • NGK LTR7IX Spark Plugs
  • Custom VR ECU Calibration

We were expecting great results based on our testing done with our shop car and that is exactly what we got. On 93 octane we increased power output by 120.71whp / 150.83 wtq to 702.49whp / 720.16wtq!

When e85 was thrown in the tank and finished tuning, the car made 152.78whp / 192.19wtq over the baseline for final numbers of 734.56whp / 761.52wtq!

This C7 Z06 is ready to hit the track and the streets. It also now sounds as good as it looks thanks to the new cam and American Racing Headers longtubes. Check out this idle and walk-around video.

For more information on C7 Z06 performance upgrades or any other late model LS modifications, contact us at the shop.

Very nice! Wonder if the same thing was done on an A8 with the nitrous outlet spray bar, could 8s be possible on a stock stall???

That car looks and sounds awesome! Great work!

No doubt black is my favorite color for the C7Z06.

30hp. With just e85? Why is this vehicle not flex fuel capable from the factory?
A 5.3 truck is flex fuel capable, but my 6.2 truck is not..can any of the tuners answer this?

The 5.3 flex fuel truck is rated at 355hp on gasoline, 383hp with e85. Why isn't the 6.2 series of engines e85 capable? If the Z06 was flex fuel capable, 600rwhp would be as simple as filling up at an e85 station. .which we have none around here..

Any hardware modification needed to run E85? Like new injectors and lines?

The stock injectors and both fuel pumps were retained, and the only change fueling wise was the addition of a 32% fuel lobe on the camshaft. The Flex-Fuel kit is one that we install here in house with a GM OEM sensor, and our line kit.
