If you do a Museum delivery do you still have to pay destination delivery fees to the car dealership? It's like 999.00 why do I have to pay that if the car is not delivered to the dealership

Back in the 60s they used to base the delivery fee based on the distance from Detroit. Then sometime in the 70s they just averaged it so the cost is the same all the time. Unions didn't have a thing to do with it. It was a business decision based on whatever variables and processes they were looking at then.
I would do it. It's a great experience and you won't regret it. That's just the price you have to pay. I think GM could move them the mile or so to the museum but . . . I have disagree with Bill on this one.
This has been discussed ever since the C7 debuted. The Museum delivery went up from $490 (which had been for over ten years,) to $990, and it seemed like people lost their minds. You cannot buy a car without destination fee, whether the car is delivered across the street or 3000 miles away. So if the added price for R8C is too much for you, don't do it. The Museum has plenty of deliveries to keep them busy.
My $0.02 worth, but the price is worth it. My wife and I have done both C7 deliveries at the Museum, but we live close enough to not need plane tickets or more than 1 night in a Bowling Green motel.
