Dyno's can be very helpful if you don't pay so much attention to the top number as you do the difference of before and after numbers. This assumes all other conditions are the same.
I can't believe all the shops are massaging the before and after numbers but the MAF sensor location could make a difference. Only putting it on a dyno and recording the air fuel ratio along with other variables will give you an true picture of what is going on and if your in danger of hurting your engine without a tune.
one of the guys at sac raceway went 11.10 before the intake then after the intake ON SAME DAY went 10.68 nothing else changed. WE all thought the intake was bs few months ago and he actaully changed it out at the track and temps were few degrees higher than his 11.10 pass when he ran it wtih the intake and still ran 10.68.
Link makes for interesting reading. I don't think anything has been proven yet.
Everything has been proven!

i know jim had a generation 1 and generation 2
Real world results. Gen 1 and gen 2 dyno the same!
Finally someone who dares bring some objectivity to the matter.
Dyno numbers can easily be manipulated. I will be a believer once drag strip racing same day with 2 Z06s (one stock and one with halltech) or roll racing.

No? What PM and what post? Sorry I never saw anything from you?

And this echoes nearly -exactly- the deltas from 1QUICK Z I referenced in post #22 above:
You guys have all been asking for a "real world" comparison with a stock Z06 (A8) with a Halltech intake. Well, here you go......
My car ran a previous best of 11.16 at 123 mph on DR's and DA that was 2200-2300. I just installed my new Gen 2 Halltech CAI and drove 175 miles to the drag strip tonight. DA was 2200 and on my same DR's and NO other mods, ran a new PB of 10.77 at 128!!! BAM. I couldn't be happier. Thank you Jim Hall. You are the real deal. So glad I bought this intake. This car hauls *** now. Very happy!

I would have to agree that this would be the ultimate test to see how much faster a STOCK vs. Halltech untuned Z06 is. If it putting down 40-50 more horsepwoer and 1 bar more of boost it should beat it by a car length or TWO I would imagine. Anybody done a test or a youtube video. Heck I think we have the data recorder and do a 1/4 run ;0) I am looking into getting a Halltech though...they bringing back the carbon fiber CKNZ soon? Jim is a really great guy and sure he will jump on here.
