Default I am curious about Z06 2016 vs 2015 Engine Failures

Has anyone attempted to quantify the % of 2016 vs 2015 Z06 engine failures. I know that obtaining a meaningful comparable % will be very difficult.

I know it's extremely unlikely, but the numbers may provide light on any changes GM made to the 2016s, but not advertised to the public.

This information will not be available from GM. This is something they would not want to advertise.

If the "dills" on you, then you would certainly be in a pickle.

So little its not even worth talking about. Great thing to have a warranty.... as well as there are always failures when 1000s of any car are made,

That certainly is the right time to get the pumpkin replaced.

There have been a whopping 6 engine failures reported on this forum in more than a year. Six.
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...e-post-up.html
...and...
https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...m-today-2.html

Three of those were from actual members' cars; one was somebody who just registered to tell everybody he had an engine failure; one was a magazine car and one was somebody who was racing somebody else in a C7 Z06 and claimed he had an engine failure. So, to me, any epidemic of C7 Z06 engine failures is greatly exaggerated if not entirely contrived.

It did...the second one turned out to be defective as well - the rivets loosen up on the defective plates....the shop even asked if the replacement plate was revised before installing it, and they were told it was not, but to replace it anyway

Well, one difference is my 2016 has a significantly less warranty than the 2015.

And down the road, corvettes without original motors are worth significantly less to many corvette buyers. This is just a fact based I pond history.
