Buckle up, cause here's a monstrously-tuned TVS supercharged 2014 Ford Shelby GT500 manual facing off against a tuned Corvette C7 Z06 automatic. And both have been modified and tuned to run cleaner burning E85 fuel.

Why does the article say "tuning parts such as a TVS 2300 supercharger"? That is the stock supercharger on the 2013-14 GT00.

814 rwhp vs 665 rwhp

The added weight of mustang because of rwhp will pull

How do you know it made 665? That seems too high for just e85 and a tune.

Fun race, great sounds, great result.

But, PLEEEEZE leave out the crap about clean-burning E85, as if it is the fuel of the future. Not profitable without subsidies, unsustainable if used on a broad scale, and actually consumes fossil fuels in it's production.

Other than that, loved the video...

That's me!!!! Couldn't find traction to save my life! Trapped in the 150-153 range. Was about 3-6mph slower than last half mile. But everyone was running a lot slower.

Great shot!

You know that guy in the mustang is screaming at his steering wheel saying, "REALLY?! WHAT MORE DO I HAVE TO DO?! HOW MUCH MORE MONEY IS IT GOING TO TAKE TO BEAT THAT CHEVY?" Well, of course ford guys have been saying that since 1955...

That is a big difference but power isn't everything, a big part is how you put it to the ground. The auto trans shifts quicker. The vette has better weight distribution allowing for better traction which is huge. That is why mid and rear engine supercars have great acceleration. That extra weight in the back helps the rear tires hook and get the car going.
