Ethanol comes from plants and is renewable. E85 fuel is mostly ethanol type alcohol mixed with gasoline. Diluting gasoline with ethanol creates a higher octane usually well above premium. Higher octane creates a more uniform flame front in the combustion chamber with stronger power.

Ford’s GT500 is well doctored by Advanced Engine Development to produce 815 wheel horsepower from tuning parts such as an Eaton TVS roots type supercharger.
