I have a 2015 m7 zo6 . I recently installed new tires on the rear of the car . Ever since then I stomp on the gas pedal and the traction kicks on and car will bog down and sputter. This happens with all traction off in all modes , even in ptm race mode . No service engine light came on , but a dtc code u0077 comes up in the scanner . It is a steering position sensor . Does anyone know what this can be ? Thanks
This is always a problem on supercharged corvettes. I always spend big bucks on tires, never go the cheap way out, you will learn. My c5 has toyo r888, no problem and the z07 has the sport cup 2 , not much of a problem. The tire is one of the most important parts of the car, I'm always checking pressure and picking stones out.you spent good money on car, spend on tires.

I've mounted sport cup 2's . It's not that its spinning, I can't get it to spin . The traction activates when everything is off .

You are experiencing the same thing as I did with my 2015 M7. It's engineered to protect that clutch. It pulls timing and closes throttle blade to reduce power. I couldn't stand it and sold it and got 16 A8. There is a night/day difference between them. The auto is MUCH FASTER. It's that simple.
I'd make a trip to the dealer. Even in sport 2 I can light up the tires, at least to a certain extent, and I don't get bogging in a straight line. I have noticed bogging when I'm in a turn and step on it too hard but it's supposed to do that in most of the modes. You've probably got a sensor or diff problem causing the problem.
When you say off. You are referring to a single push on the traction control button.
None of the ptm options turn everything off. Only way to get all off is single push on center traction control button.
Good luck
Something does not sound right here??
I thought push and hold center button for 5 or 10 seconds in track mode brought up ptm, then twist to "race mode" and there were no "nannies" what so ever.
Do you have a message on the DIC saying Traction Active when this is happening? If not I doubt it is traction control. Traction Control is a function of the Electronic Brake Control Module. To be sure it is off pull the ABS fuses (not sure whether the C7 has 1 or 2, C6 has 2) and try again. The EBCM can't activate Traction Control if there is no power going to the EBCM. You will get warning messages once the fuses are pulled but all they are telling you the car has gone back to running like an early 80s or older car when cars didn't have ABS, Stability and Traction Control.
If it still does the same thing then you have some other problem.

I will try this also , nothing comes up on the DIC the traction control has been engaged . It just sputters and falls on its face and the traction control and Stability Light is In The Off Position
Thanks

You are correct about how to go into PTM mode selections. However no mode in the ptm allows for full off. Race mode even has some traction managements working.
The only way to go full all off is to do the following:
Single push on the traction control button. The push needs to last no longer than 1 sec. This will allow you to spin the tires or cut all the donuts you would like.

I have been to VIR twice now and experimented with various TRACK mode settings. The only one that affected power was the WET setting in track mode. Everything else would break the tires loose. Gotta be something else going on.

I don't know about the C7 but both the C5 and C6 and all the other cars I have owned displayed some sort of message when traction or stability control was activated. If you aren't getting some sort of message stating it is activated it most likely isn't the cause of your problem. Pulling the fuses is the simplest and easiest way to verify whether it is or not and you can do that in your driveway with your Sunday clothes on.
