Recently picked up my new Z convertible, couldn't be happier with the car except that I have wind noise coming when driving at speeds 55-75 with the top closed. Anyone else have a similar issue ? Noise is coming from the driver side. It's driving me nuts
I had the same issue but with a coupe.
I mentioned the wind noise from the drivers side to a co-worker and she pointed out the fact that the drivers side window seal looked different from the passengers side. (The deal was separated near the end)
I put tape over the seal and the noise was gone. I took the car to the dealer and they replaced the seal...
No more wind noise!
I don't know what the convertible is like but take a look at the seal near the window.

I never had that problem with my 427, and I agree with most (above) that it is probably the driver's window not sealing properly. Should be an easy fix.
Same noise here from the day I picked it up from the museum on Friday. I suspect the seal on the driver side is defective, as it doesn't lay like the passenger side. Picture provide by member of stingray forum and after inspection my seal looks identical to this on driver side. Seems air would easily get around this back behind the panel, which explains why it sounds like the air is coming from the seat belt retraction area. Will have dealer correct this issue during break-in oil change.

Yep, that's exactly what mine looked like before it was replaced.
One of the many reasons I will never buy a Vert again.
The ragtop is that, cloth you hear wind, surrounding noises, and other cars' tire noise.
Coupes all the way.
Conversely, now that I have the convertible, I'll never buy a non-track coupe again.
My 'vert has no wind noise (by which I mean leaks) and at cruise you hear the tires more than wind, so I don't think it's much louder than the coupe, really.
So if you have a leaky seal somewhere, you should get it fixed, as its not normal for these cars.
I had the same wind noise with my new 2016 Stingray coupe. I took it to the dealer and they fixed the seal issue under warranty. Best wishes!
