Default Options?

What options did you get on your Z06 that you LOVE & what are the options that you wish you had gotten?

I'm looking to buy one next year and want to take advantage of your experience with your Z06?

I bought a base A8 coupe.

The only options I got was the PDR and a couple exterior visual options, the LBR and a black hood bulge decal, plus black side mirrors.

Everything else was a waste of money, WAY too much $$ for what you get, IMO.

Aftermarket side skirts were a relative bargain.

Best:painted vents, A8, PDR, 3LTZ

Don't like: nothing. Very happy with the way I configured it.

Not all options listed.

There's no option I wish I had gotten ... the only option I wish were available is dual roof with a painted one and a visible carbon fibre one as opposed to the cf/glass and painted/glass combos.

Carbon Flash stinger stripe, carbon flash mirrors, and the stage 2 aero make a huge difference for me on the exterior, very glad I ordered those. I'm also glad I ordered the glass roof panel but I regret not getting the dual roof package. Something else that I wish I had was the suede interior but I couldn't justify the price hike between 2lz and 3lz just for nav & alcantara.

I did a base 1LZ with no options, I don't track the car so the aero, pdr, brakes were not a good expense for me. Lots of choices when building one, you will know what the must haves are for you.

Is the suede the difference between the 2LZ & the 3LZ? I'm not sure what the differences between the two are.

Yes. If I remember correctly the difference is suede on a more expensive type of leather as well as the nav + PDR.

Another piece of advice: if you're not going to be tracking the car or don't anticipate that you'll be using the PDR, I would definitely not recommend going for the nav option. You can use Apple Carplay + Maps and you'll have a fully functional nav system.

Cool - thank you so much! There are so many options, I'm just trying to wrap my head around what's available and what people like.

Except I don't think carplay displays nav stuff in the heads-up display. Or does it?

I got a 3LZ, carbon flash mirrors, Stage 2 aero, stinger stripe, machine face wheels (per the pic at left). Happy with everything and no regrets whatsoever.

Absolutely! Happy to help.

Nope, you're right it doesn't. The nav system with Carplay is limited to the screen & audio commands. I would, however, have felt very cheated if I bought the nav system only to find that Carplay has that functionality.

I got mine loaded (I plan on keeping this car 10 years or more) and don't regret any option that I got.
3LZ - full leather dash/doors is really nice, so is PDR and front camera. Today's pleathers are pretty darn good but I finally get a premier interior and you can easily tell the difference IMHO.
CFV - the CF looks like black from a distance, but is really nice up close. I also got the CF hood, looks killer but has a paint seam.
Clear roof - I sat in cars with clear and painted/CF roof and had to have the sun and also didn't like the way the liner is on the painted/CF. Clear roof looks black from the outside unless you put your face right up to it.
Sport Seats - just love the way they look and fit, I also got sueded inserts, wheel, shifter which (for me) give better grip.
Z07 - brakes are phenomenal, love the aggressive aero. Tires are a question mark if you plan to drive a lot in rain/cold. I drove it home in pouring rain and was fine to 75, but 80 was a little iffy, fyi. But mine probably won't see rain again.
Everything else was color related, yellow, yellow calipers, yellow stitching, black wheels. Oh, on the wheels, I was really worried about black wheels and they are totally awesome, esp with this color combination. I saw one similar at a dealership today with the silver wheels and it confirmed for me that black was the way to go with the color combo I had going.

What I did not get
CF dash - I don't miss this at all but it seems that it is one of the most popular options.
Auto - trans is a personal preference - but love the rev matching on the manual

I went with 2lz for all the small add on's ( home link-garage door opener, self dim mirrors, heated and vented seats, front camera... ) also, I needed to select that in order to get kalahari interior "which is awesome". I also splurged for pdr/nav and stage 2 aero... U can probably get the aero in the after market at a better price. I also ordered splash guards after, they are a nice addition.

Pretty happy I went 3LZ on this car. My C7 Z51 was a 2LT car, so comparable to the 2LZ. But the 3LZ is definitely an upgrade.
My advice is that if you are on the fence about Comp seats, get them.

I got a 2lz with the Z07 package. Zero regrets

I love the CC brakes both in looks and operation

I had the opportunity to feel both the 3lz leather and 2lz leather and frankly liked the Mulan better than the Napa. Just my preference though

Regarding the Z07 package, I do plan on tracking the car a couple times a year but I doubt at my skill level the stage 3 aero will make a difference. I just love the look. Serious head turner

I also like the PDR. I turn it on quite frequently just in case something happens. I'm going to assume if I ever get in an accident it won't be my fault https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...Angel_anim.gif

Good luck!
