Is there a set of jack pucks that is easily removable?
Right now I have the standard black plastic pucks which work great, but once they're in there's no getting them out, at least not easily.
I want to use the holes to secure the car to a trailer with t hooks, so I need to be able to remove the pucks at will depending if I need to jack up the car or tow it.
I have a "Cheap" set that are made from hockey pucks and screw eyes. They don't stay in worth a damn, which makes them very easily removable. Here is a similar set for $30
Get the cast aluminum ones for the Z06. They even say Z06 on them and were guaranteed to fit the C7. They told me they would cover the return shipping if they didn't fit the C7 since they had not tested.
They fit perfect, came 4 in a box (even though I only use 1 at a time), are easy to install and remove, and thick enough that the cup on most any jack won't touch the frame.
Got them from a forum vendor. don't recall their name, but you should find it with a search, which is what i would do if you need more help.

Got mine (non scratch delrin ) from Fred @ reverselogic.com. Superb quality, adjustable. Highly recommend.
Same here. The ones from Fred can be configured to go on and off very easily, or they can be semi-permanent. Even in the semi-permanent mode they only take 10 seconds to remove.
I'm not exactly sure I'm grasping how the five components work form the description.
All I need to know is:
1. When on, is it as low profile as the plastic jack pucks I have now? (because I can barely clear those with my floor jack)
2. When I remove them is the frame hole exposed so I can get the t hook in there?
Thanks.
With the little white piece in there, the puck fits in very loosely. When you take the white piece out, it fits in pretty snugly.
I saw the other thread about trailering. I'm not sure about strapping there - I would strap against the wheels. I would hesitate putting too much stress there, and then on top of that, if the suspension bounces then those straps could come loose. I just think strapping by the wheels is guaranteed to stay tight.

Best!
But everything I've read about strapping the wheels says that it messes up alignment.

Depends on the type of strap you use. If your strap goes over the tire then you won't put any stress on the alignment bolts. I can see some concerns about cranking outward too hard, but I don't think they need that much tension. If you are tying down by the rockers, the will lose tension when the suspension compresses. It might not be enough to matter, but still concerns me a bit.
Now that I think about it more, either place is probably fine.
I only strap through to the frame using the T-hooks and snug my winch for a front tie down to the tow hook. IMO, strapping down the frame eliminates suspension movement and prevents the car from moving around in the trailer. Either way will work, I prefer the frame.
Also, I have the aluminum pucks. Very thick but DO NOT forget they are there before heading on-track. They don't fit snugly and CAN come out.
