Targa ON or OFF?
I have had my Z for a little over a year now. I have had the roof off once.
I think the roof just makes the car look cleaner and meaner, love the look. I know to each his own but what do you all think?

The only thing I miss having a convertible is the rear view of the coupe; I think the coupe looks tough from a rear 3/4 angle, moreso than the convertible (which has its own charms).
I don't think the Targa removal hurts that, so I'd say run without it at all times and enjoy the open air.
And in honor of those of us that had C4s, please be sure to scream the following as you drive with the targa out:
"Wow, I can't believe I didn't need to use a socket driver provided with the car!"
"Wow, I can't believe the whole cowl doesn't shake like its going to fall off!"
...C4s were not a great Targa experience, unfortunately.

Interesting. I had an 05 and 08 coupe and never took the top off, not once. And now I have a 16 Z06, but only have driven 1200 miles, and still not have taken the top off.
I have been afraid that after taking it off and then re installing there would be leaks/rattles etc.

I have the CF top and much prefer my car with the top off when the weather permits. It gets much more attention and comments when I have the top off.

The ability of taking the top off plays a major decision for me to search for my own Z06. I love the coupe lines but also love the intoxicating exhaust noise of a convertible/topless car. Chevy finally provided us with a Z06 coupe with this option vs the C6. Checked off all of my wishes on the list I must say. I know one thing for sure, I'll be riding with the top off as much as I can. Since I live in Sunny SoCal, that may be up to 360 days a year!! Not literally of course

The car looks great with the top on or off...but it is sure nice to drive with the top off. And whoever at GM designed the storage mounts in the rear should be given a raise....so easy to use!

Top is off and stowed every chance I get. Slight PITA during pollen season, but same PITA with convertibles......(except if you are wearing nice clothes you need to be careful not to get pollen on them while you R&R the top.....

To each their own, but I own a convertible and have only driven it once with the top up (too much sun, didn't want to continue to burn!). I spent 8 years trapped in a C6Z non-removeable and that made me a little claustrophobic maybe... had it been a targa, I might have stayed with a coupe.
