Default Clutch Problems?????

Hey guys...Just purchased a 2016 Z07/Z07...Love the car! It has the manual 7 speed transmission and I am having problems with the heal of my shoe, hanging in the carpet and the floor mat resulting in an abrupt releasing of the clutch...almost like a beginner driver! Anyone else have this problem and if so, what did you do to resolve it? Thanks so very much in advance!

Maybe grab a set of these.
Take the factory carpet mats out.
Thin harder rubber might do the trick.

Do you have big feet? My heel is no where near the floor when I'm operating the clutch.

Trade for an A8? Kidding, I'd go the route VRYBAD stated. At least that's what I did for my previous 2 vettes.

Thanks Guys...I have been thinking about the different type of floor mats, these look great! To naswer further questions...NO I don't have big feet, size 10, it"s my heal of my shoe that goes into the carpet and wedges into the carpet, then suddenly releases..

Same issue
I wear sandels all the time, and the heal folds back, PITA
I've resorted to removing my sandels when I get in, and clutching bare foot

I wear size 10 and I never had this problem. You might need to adjust your seating position.

You might consider a different shoe when driving too. Most decent driving shoes have a rounded heel so as to not catch on the floor mat or carpet. I never in my life wore Pumas until recently but they have quickly become my favorite, and relatively inexpensive, driving shoe.

My car has a vinyl or rubber pad sewn into the carpeted mat in the area under the pedals. Size 9 shoes....the heel hits the vinyl if it hits anything, but my left foot is usually off the floor. I have not experienced any issues.

I never wear sandals or flip flops when driving manuals......then again I never wear sandals at all and rarely wear flip flops.....
