What is the Torque spec on the cover bolts?

You have to be very careful with the back bolts because the cowl is in the way. Make sure the bolt is threaded vertically and not at an angle. A deep 10mm socket was better than a shallow socket and I used the plastic prybar on the cowl. This was the hardest part of the install.
If someone has the toque specs it would be appreciated. I would bet the specs are in inch/lbs.

This thread shows the Dyno difference between the lids.

Relative to the supercharger cover, Has there been any thing mentioned or even a rumored that GM will help all of us with 2015/16 ZO6's by retro fitting the new cover to our engines? In a perfect world sure would be nice if GM stepped up

Not that I know of, and I pay very close attention to these things. The last word came from Tadge a month or so ago saying basically it was being worked on. Rumor is that it was sent to their legal department. Don't hold your breath, but I'm hoping.

Heard it from Tadge's own mouth while at Carlisle this August.

Just one question, how does it run? Does the added plenum volume affect throttle tip in?
It looks good but I really would like to know how it works.
Thanks, Chris

Hey Tadge, What about those of us who bought 15/16 ZO6's, how about a retro fit courtesy of GM?

Saw this on another site. He could be blowing smoke, but its an interesting thought:

Took me a bit to decipher "big hat charger" meant "2017 lid and bricks"

If this quote has any validity, please note the writer said increase cooling and CAPACITY, which implies different bricks, not just raised bricks. Has anyone seen old and new bricks side by side outside the blower? The new bricks seem to be shaped differently. Anyway, I had a shot at a 2017 blower and just had it installed, but with 12 degree weather, not much I can report.
What didn't make sense in the quote was moving the bricks out of the airflow to increase cooling capacity. The bricks are what cool the air right?

The quote doesn't make any sense at all.
I had already verified the tune between a 16 & 17 car and the only difference was the Spark Smoothing Max Torque Bias/Loss, IAT, ECT, VCP Corrections Multi tables. I did not find anything related to specific cylinders reductions.
OP already verified there is a slight bonus to the new lid on his car. One can surmise that adding the bricks and hat will certainly improve the 15/16 cars. Let's hope GM Cowboy's Up and does the right thing. However, there's a reason they're called "Government Motors". I don't expect anything from them.
