No....I work the throttle bore housing alot more than my competitors and that's what offers you all the part throttle perks and added response....elimination of the dead zone off idle etc. etc.

It affects the area of the throttle pedal you spend 95% of your time utilizing and still works great at WOT. This is a good thread to check out if you haven't seen it already covering this in alot more (scientific) detail.

I will contact you via PM as well

Cheers,

Tony:
Going to order a 2018 for museum delivery, but not until the new paint shop is open next spring. Was going to order a MAMO TB then, but if the price increase is coming I might as well order now. I assume you will honor any warranty issues, if I run into any issue then, even though it won't be installed for a few months from now.

If my assumption is correct, please PM me ordering instructions.

Yes I will.....note that in the email you send me now and I will note that in my records also that you wont be installing for a few months.

So send me an email with your name, address, and phone.....email it to:

mamomotorsports@yahoo.com

I will respond with a secure paylink etc. and we will get this TB out to you in a few weeks (ahead of the new ride.....congrats btw!)

Tony,
will this do much for an A8 ?

I have got a '16 A8 coming in a few weeks.

We plan to autocross it.

Thanks

Nothing is different except the lag that still exists is (usually) less noticeable with an A8 because your not dealing with letting out a clutch at lower throttle positions and the different dynamic that brings to the table.

All the perks I have been discussing (and your fellow forum members) are still in place including the 12-15 RWHP it adds as well.

Some of the A8 guys still notice the lag also and are thrilled its gone with the addition of my ported TB but either way it wakes up the car big time and makes the throttle much more responsive, linear and intuitive....it just feels right.

If you don't like it return it but if you drive it stock for even a couple of days and switch over I know I won't see that TB again....LOL

Shoot me an email if you want to get in the work cue.....prices are going up soon due to the bump in the cost of the TB I mentioned in my previous post or two

Tony

Default Mamo TB

Have a 2017 Z06 with manual transmission. Received the TB in a timely manner once they were in stock. Tony was very good to work with.

Unfortunately, I did get a CEL. The code was PO121. The Corvette tech at my dealer is into after market add on's and cleared out the code. I then installed the BMS filter and all has been good for a few hundred miles. No additional CEL

That will occasionally happen and a CEL can easily be cleared (even with inexpensive over the counter products at your local auto parts store).

The good news is it ran good and the code hasn't come back. Sometimes you have to clear it a couple of times so don't be alarmed if it happens again (and it may not). Its just the computer sensing the additional airflow from the mods. Most customers just install and forget.....plug and play deal but there are some cars that are just more finicky (the 2017's in general) but at the end of the day it's not a big deal to resolve and the move to the ported TB pays you so many dividends in performance its worth whatever small inconvenience a small percentage of you might need to deal with regarding clearing a CEL code etc.

Hope your enjoying all the upsides now!

Cheers,
Tony

I just dyno’d my Z with a BMS filter and Mamo PTB. Car made 583HP & 612 TQ at the wheels. I’m not sure how much the PTB increased HP & TQ, but I will tell you it makes the car way more responsive and feel quicker if that makes sense.
