Noticed that the ZO6 doesn't have the GM splash guards installed even tho there is a rubber piece going around the entire wheel well, except for the last 12 inches to the rear. With the side rail skirts installed, does the fenders have fairly good protection or is most owners purchasing and installed the Splash Guards? Just wondered, as I had put them on my '14 Stingray, but it didn't have the skirts.
I got the dealer to throw in the GM ones for now. Better than nothing. We'll see how they work/look.

look great, work terribly. Basically worthless when it comes to stone chipping. Got to have the splash guard extend out beyond the front tire and they don't. Good luck!

The only ones that work are the ones you make yourself. The GM Accessory and the ACS Guards aren't wide enough or low enough so things fly right by them and the side skirts to hit the rear quarter and brake duct.
There is a thread on the forum where somebody described how to make your own. That way you can add a couple inches below the other ones so they block the line from the wheel to the rear quarter.
Anybody that says anything else works isn't driving their car where stuff gets thrown by the tires.

The ACS front guards hang down slightly past the stock side skirts on our Z06/Z07. The width lines right up with the contact patch of the front tires. With Xpel this is a great system. Same for the rear with GM flaps. You could hang trucker flaps on the car, debris will still find a way to do some damage if you do not Xpel the car.
Making your own splashguards is up to you, personally I'm not mounting homemade flaps on a $113k sports car.
Well, Voodoo, I guess I can understand why you might feel that way, but you really should see how the Orielly ones look and work before condemning them. If you run a Search on them, another member, GVE, left a very detailed description and photos of the completed installation. I tried them out after reading his write up and believe me, they look outstanding and better yet, they work. But....to each their own.
