Default Fresh video from Willow Springs yesterday, and track Temps (oil/Coolant)

I got out for the first time with the Z06 to Willow Springs Raceway yesterday, HAD A BLAST!!

Still trying to figure out the best gearing and such on this track, but overall, the car preformed flawlessly! No heat issues, ( high temps were 82, hotter on the track) and plenty of power, REALLY need to use the brakes more, they are AWESOME!

I'm not one to REALLY push my cars, but I do drive them hard once I get comfortable. My best time was 1:33 FLAT, and I did it with out pushing NEARLY as hard as I have driven my other Vettes, to achieve the same time.

Here's my second session out there, just happened to fall in behind this Porsche, he was very cool. He said he's done a bunch of work to it, started out as a 996, but now more of a 997 with GT3 suspension and 620+ at the wheel...

Yes, I could have pushed harder and passed at certain points, but then we would not have this cool video!!!

I've now attached some data from the same session I made the video of, outside temps were mid 70s at that point...

The second data/temps are from the third session, it was mid 80s on that one...

Nice driving. Looks like a fun circuit. While he's modifying his Porsche, he should move the turn signal stalk so he stops hitting it every turn. If that's his way of telling people in front of him he wants to pass, he needs to settle down and take himself a bit less seriously.

Thanks, I think the turn signal/brake thing might be built into the car in some way, kinda there for racing....

I enjoyed watching that, I'm impresssed with the mods you have and power increase that the car stayed cool. On top of the 91+meth I assume you run torco on these track days? If so, what octane do you try and achieve with the torco and 91?

Thank you, it really was a fun day. Driving a fast car on the road course is fun, and when all you have to do is add fuel and meth between sessions, that does make it a BLAST!

I'm actually tuned on Torco/91 & Meth, so I run it all the time...

I'm running between 96 and 97 octane all the time, except when I go into boost, and the meth kicks in, then it goes up...

I have also added the granitelli Expansion tank, and a custom additional radiator with spal fans for that extra aftercooler fluid...

That is an interesting video. I think it helps maintain the interest when there are other cars around that you are overtaking. Yes, I do think you could have passed the Porsche.

I have a 2015 Z with an A8. I only ran it once in June at Willow and it went into limp mode after the third lap. Next time I will use the paddles in manual and keep the RPMs in the 5500 range. The A8 in drive in track mode is very aggressive keeping the R's high.

Thanks, the autos do heat up quicker. They have also made a few nice changes to the 17s to help with cooling...

I have Signature Wheels, 12/19 rears and 10/18 fronts...

I was running 325/710/19s fit real good, and 305/660/18s, just a bit to big, will drop the fronts down a tad next time...

Those rears are about 28" diameter, right? No rubbing when suspension is compressed?

I ordered some Signature wheels too, 12/19 and 10.5/18.
