Default Museum Delivery and 500 mile oil change

Has anyone from the West Coast taken museum delivery, driven back west, and done 500 mile oil change along the way? If so, please share your experience. I plan to do just that and will need to stop somewhere along the way back to San Diego.

Live in Texas, picked up at Museum on 4/3, drove to Memphis and next morning stopped into Gildner Chevrolet in Arkadelphia Arkansas (490 miles west of Bowling Green), had the oil change done in 30 minutes and then back on the road. Small town, not too busy, but called ahead to let them know I was coming.

California here. We did our R8C in February when the weather was "iffy" so, we took the Southern most route (Hwy 10) and stopped just outside NOLA at a very nice Chevrolet dealer there (approx 580 miles) that was recommended by a New Orleans Corvette Club member. I was very pleased with their service folks. Sorry, I don't remember the dealer's name.

Another Texan. I had the oil change done at Gwatney Chevrolet in Jacksonville, AR at 624 miles. No issues.

I lived in Texas at the time. Drove it 900 miles home and went to my trusted local dealership the very next day.

Thanks for all your tips/experience. I guess the proper approach would be to call ahead to a dealership for appt. before leaving museum. Perhaps museum staff might also be able to make a dealership recommendation.
