I know exactly what it's from, because I did that to mine, (although not as bad)
I pulled in nose first in the last parking spot in a lot, where the sidewalk/curb run alongside the car...
Backing out, I thought the nose had cleared the curb and cranked the wheel... Not a good feeling hearing that dreaded "scrape" against the curb...
I can't imagine you would have unknowingly done it - it is loud.

NO pos boyfriend would pass that up in a million years.
You're lucky the damage was so slight.
I recommend finding a new dog sitter if you want to keep your car in drivable condition (and hide the key next time!!!!).

This makes complete sense. I was wondering how scrapes got on front and side of splitter and this fully explains it. Do you drive with the music way up? Did you park next to any curbs? Maybe oil place back it out from lift and rubbed arm although I would expect there to be color in the scrape and there isn't.
So I'd say with 100% certainty... someone was backing out and cut the wheel too soon.
If there's no wife or child that could be responsible for it...and if you're positive you didn't do it. I'd definitely hit up the dog-sitter, calmly and rationally and inquire as to who "borrowed" the car.
Not sure why it's uploading upside-down... can a mod fix it please?

You are taking it much better than I would. It's one thing to have an issue if they had permission to drive it but taking the car without permission, trashing the front, then putting back in the garage/drive way like nothing happened and she is not even coming clean about what happened tells you a lot about how she views you and your trust in her to be responsible and look out for your best interests. if you know for a fact you did not do this then I would find out who did it.

Not to change the subject as I feel your pain cause I too had unexplained damage. Those are some badass tires. I wanna see a pic of the tire and a side pic of your rocket. Don't worry about the damage. It'll get fixed and she'll be beautiful once again.

Nope I took a little trip last week and on Thursday I wiped all the bugs off and it was perfect. Friday morning we left with my wife's car to Tempe, AZ for the Pat Tillman Charity run. It was parked in the garage all weekend. I went this morning to get the oil change and saw it. I HATE to accuse anybody of anything, but we had a new girl house sit our dogs all weekend. Keys were right in the counter? I had thought about putting the car in Valet mode, but didn't. Oh well, I will get it fixed and learned a lesson. I am 100% it was not me.
Sorry to hear about the car. On a brighter note, I went to high school with Pat. He was a good guy...

Update: We confronted the sitter and she COMPLETELY DENIED it was her or anybody else. She cried, denied it and then offered to pay for it. If I knew I didn't do the damage WHY would you say you would pay for it? Oh well I found a replacement pair for $159 on EBay, hope they are the same. Again, live and learn, VALET MODE and hide the keys from now on.

I looked all up and down my street with no damage found. Only evidence I have is my neighbor saw my car drive by his house Friday between 4-7pm, but didn't see who was driving. Also, my wife and I were in Phoenix from noon until the next day so at least I have a time frame. The City may have cameras?

Glad to hear you got to the bottom of it.
All I know is if it was my car, I would have had another stroke.

I would say the girl probably took it for a spin. I have heard of this way too often. Those cars are very tempting to test drive for a little while. A buddy of mine used to drive his big brothers 69 Chevelle 396 4 speed when his brother was in the service. The car was almost brand new. Its good it wasn't worse. Lock your keys up next time.
