Compliments?

Compliments?
My wife and I, last night were trying to figure out what it is that people see that are always complimenting the car when we go out. It never fails, we receive more compliments on the car than any car I have ever owned and that includes the Bentley we had. Can someone explain what it is that people compliment the vehicle, because yes, it is a Corvette, but there are a lot of Corvettes. I am perplexed! It is very nice to receive a compliment, but I am just curious. Do you, when you go out receive the same accolades with your Corvette? Maybe, I need to get a government grant for a research project?

An exotic unique design with a complimenting powerful powertrain. The car looks like it's going fast while parked.
While getting long in the tooth, the C7 still looks fresh going into its 5th MY (Z06- 4th MY).
Your car looks great BTW

We cannot go anywhere without a thumbs up, compliment, or people wanting to talk about the car - heck I have had people take pictures of it while were are driving down the road. It's crazy how much attention this car attracts.

Yup, I get a lot of it in this car, far more than any other. People take pictures with it like they'll never see another, holler after me as I go by, that sort of thing.
The nice thing is the younger people (late middle school and high school) seem to appreciate it too. That definitely wasn't true of my '07Z.

By far, we receive more compliments, thumbs up, etc. with this car----not even close to the attention prior corvettes received (C5, C6 Z06, C6 427). I bet well over 90% of the time when gassing it up at least one person will comment or ask to take a picture.
The 427 did get a lot of compliments as well (brides taking wedding pictures next to the car when we came out of function halls etc.,---and yes, I always offered to let the bride sit in the car), but the attention is nothing like what the C7 Z06 garners.
Very common for the younger folks to take pictures and or video the car when going down the highway------------if you watch carefully, you will see young people stopped in front of you at lights taking pictures of your car via their rear view mirror with their phones. I noticed this because more than once I was about to beep to get the car to go when the light turned green, and then I realized what they were doing---crazy.

Its crazy for sure, GM and Tadge, Tom Peters did a great job with the design. I just went out from work to pick up dry cleaning, a five minute drive and had six people give me thumbs up or yelled at me , nice car! My Z is two years old and still amazes me with the performance , value and style. They have some big shoes to fill with the next generation C8

I went on a 650 mile road trip last weekend. I received numerous "thumbs up" from other drivers and couple babes in a convertible in Iowa gave a real "nice wave"
Not long ago a guy pulled up beside me and signaled for me to roll down my window. I did, he hollered "Nice f'ing car man."

People have a lot more in common with the corvette than other outbof reach exotics.
They can see themselves owning one, or they may have owned / own one.
They feel more like they can approach you anc compliment the car.
this is a good thing.

My ego really doesn't get too charged from the general public's reaction to the car. 90% of the cars look the same out there. This car looks like something from Mars to them in a good way. It's not even your typical sports car shape, it's more like a high end exotic...they have to react.

OP: You seriously are perplexed as to why the car gets compliments? Why is that shocking to you? You're not driving a Camry there, sir. These higher-end sports cars get looks. I can't leave the house with my viper. I have started stopping for gas early in the morning because every afternoon trip to the gas station had turned into a 30 minute conversation.
