Haven't heard of any cooling changes for the 2018 ZO6. Thought it might have the bumper with the extra openings, and different heat exchangers behind it, but it looks like that will be for a different model.

These fears forbanyonebotbrunning hard core on the track are ridiculous. Please get the notion of these cars overheating even when being pushed hard outside if a constant 10 minute long flogging... sit there and stare at a clock for 10 minutes. That's about how long it takes for someone running the hell out of it in 90f to happen.

15 minute sessions for 8 sessions.

I have 2017 A8, ran back to back to back, 1/4 mile runs, in 100*degrees heat. My rookie results below:

I live in Florida and it's been pretty hot recently. I drive my 2017 M7 Z pretty hard, but haven't tracked it yet. The oil and water temps haven't gone above the average range at all and this is in the high-90s. I also spent 2 days at Spring Mountain recently and not a single car overheated on either day with a pretty solid mix of A8 and M7.
OP, If you're going to assert that the 2017s are still overheating, let's see some data.

The 2017's with the updates are still overheating? Where are you seeing this. Just did 5 - 20 minutes sessions in my 2017 M7 and pushed the car hard, all temps were great.

Anyone overheating an M7 on track deserves it! I had a 2015 M7 C7Z and now a 2017 M7 C7Z and track it pretty hard in the Oklahoma summer heat with no overheating.
However, I didn't fall for the fake phishing email instructing me to change my car's Wi-Fi password. As such, the Russians couldn't hack into my CAN and edit the cooling tables and generate a false CEL and subsequent limp mode situation.
I'm tellin' ya, it's a vast conspiracy on the part of the damn commies.

well if they are listening then let me state my 2016 Z06 never overheated and my 2017 Z06 hasn't yet either but maybe if it does the lawyers can get me 2 dollars for pain and suffering and get their much deserved millions for making our world a better place meanwhile causing the base price of the corvette to increase further so only they can afford them....now that's a racket ain't it.

very naive.
if you want to create change, buy something else. not only will you have something that works for you, GM will have to reevaluate their product....sort of like when Viper production ceased on the account no one bought them, they bought Corvettes instead. Dodge decided to create their own niche with Hellcats and Demons, they went the heavy and powerful route and left the sports car market to Chevy.
and guess what, if Corvette sales don't fall off a cliff because people buy them anyways then maybe the issue isn't as widespread as believed here and we shouldn't get so worked up over it. you want the same performance without some "potential" cooling issue then spend 180 or whatever on a GT3, lol, or get yourself a McLaren and have fun tracking that and maintaining it.
There's a reason people will still buy Corvettes and that is because they can afford them. Why are they so cheap? You know why.

I wouldn't be surprised to see this suit get tossed. Using your categories, I can't decide if this is bad or ugly. Well, I vote ugly.

Actually? Having read the tack the law firm is taking. This is an egregious fees/money grab by counsel: protecting the "rights" of a racer who can't upshift to avoid revving the hell out of an engine thereby exposing himself to the "dangers" of limp mode.
