I like the idea of extra vents in the hood however am concerned about the hood lifting at high speeds. Also, the fitment needs to be very easy for this to work.
You would think GM engineers would have easily done the same as they design these cars in the wind tunnel.
I think the true test will be on track where this hood needs to be tested actively before people will subscribe.
I for one am interested but need the aforementioned items addressed and tested before I can drop the $$$$

Hood will not lift. Just not physically possible, for once the hood is mounted at the front.
The space under the hood is low pressure and above is high pressure at speed. The faster you go, the more pressed down the hood will be.

Its hard to tell about the side vents. They will look different after paint and whatever shape and size and grill treatment is used. Might consider offering the side vents as an option unless performance is compromised significantly without them. That would be an interesting test.

11/20 update! Fresh out of the mould. Everything looks good so a carbon production one and a split vent add on piece to cover up some of the middle radiator duct. It is huge looking right now.

There's a reason why I get up early sometimes while eating breakfast to lurk around the CF. Its for cool things like this hood. Great looking, appears very functionable in releasing the demon heat and non Vette owners may think its a new ZR1! I don't care about rain water as like most of our cars mine is out on nice days or track duty. I would be interested if it effects down force in any way but appears not too. It will throw the air at a higher impact point into the windshield and may actually help with less cowl area turbulence.
At the track I guess 90% of the C6 Z track cars have a similar vented hood like this one. I was wondering what was taking so long to get a similar one for our C7s. I hope it comes in cheap fiberglass I would even be interested in a unfinished one to fit and finish my self. Owning a body shop has its advantages!

I want to love it but can't, looks very tacky. Them panel gaps on the side...
Another concern is Aerodynamic integrity. Considering how deep the egress of air if from the hood, the elevation off the vent is too high for it to flow over the roof line. This may cause stability issues under full load and braking. GM engineers work towards the perfect balance of front and rear balance by focusing on the perfect coefficient drag and downforce. I am concerned about this hood not being tested in a wind tunnel.

This was built completely based off a stock z06 frame so gap issue shouldn’t be a problem. It was missing some rear latches and crushions so it’s not perfectly latched down.
Will be testing back to back at the local tracks vs stock hood. My chassis mount wing will be tested at the same time to find the balance aero combo of front and rear. Yes I’m building a ZL1 1LE type of winglets if front aero downforce adjustment is needed. I have a more aggressive APR lower splitter and winglets already too.
My track rat Z06 buddy also has a thermal camera that can capture the heat extraction on the vents too.
I hope this to be benefital for the community. Rather than just say that GM engineered a perfect car... so I won’t a thing.

Looking good. The higher hump will make it extract more heat.

So here is the installed product. Still designing the optional split grill carbon add on piece to cover up the center radiator duct, for those that don’t want a large opening. This hood is good to go though. Even drove it in crazy SoCal storm from my manufacture shop home and it was good to go in the rain. All vent and ducts are for maximum heat extraction with minimal water exposure to the engine bay.
