Here is a clue for you the old car was 300-400 pounds lighter weight and had a lower 1st and more 1/4 mile friendly gears with the same aspect on the rear tires . In other words it was better suited. You would not like it since they didn't make them in AUTOMATIC!
Being at the best prepped track in cold weather with mine shaft air and having time to sit out there helps too. But all have no bearing what so ever on the new C7Z06!

Are you still harping like a way-past-menopausal and Alzheimer's-afflicted old lady on that old chit, despite it having been invalidated time and time again in numerous threads?

Yes, the A8 has a lower first gear, but that also results in it needing to shift out of first gear sooner, with the resulting rear-wheel-torque drop from the earlier shift.

For I'm sure for less money and better performance. Instantly your Z06 is 700 hp! I have another one coming for my A8 then I will one on both cars!
I believe the Halltech and others cost more than the GM system. Also no cutting anything to install.

Just refer to the GM 0-60 times showing the A8 faster. I could show you a couple of you guys black but I would be some how wrong and white would be claimed and argued till the cows come home so I'll just go with.
Whatever dude.

From head of GM aftermarket parts (at Sebring Corvette Corral):

On LT4 - +8 hp / other engines +14 hp. Available mid-April

A little disappointing. Wonder if a BMS filter will fit the housing?

Not a little disappointing, just a little more realistic.

I'll bet that the BMS filter will work in the new GM intake.

Keep in mind BMS or any other aftermarket filter don't have to adhere to the filtering performance numbers GM has set. If GM releases a filter that filters less and translate to more power, but ends up with higher warranty claims thats a loosing proposition for them. Hence GM performance parts are handicapped from conception vs. pure aftermarket.

Gotta love the one-off glory runs always used for power gain claims

8 more hp?

That works out to 1.2% more hp.

Still a better deal than many of us got when paying $1200 for the optional NPP exhaust (+5hp) on a 2014 w/Z51!
