Default BMS vs AFe

Hey guys, I have the BMS installed and am wondering why some folks are claiming better performance than a CAI?

A lot of reputable tuners (i.e. Vengeance) have tested CAI's and saw significant gains.

My car is running great and has not been on a dyno yet, but I did notice the filter opening on the BMS seemed larger than the OEM filter by quite a bit.

I also found t interesting that Vengeange said they did not see additional boost with a larger lower pulley installed. Yes it is an old article but still seems relevant.

Performance is about the same in the stock to 650whp range. We've not tested pressure drops at higher flow levels though, beyond what most run. It's possible somewhere around 750whp the AFE will have an edge.

There are several threads on the BMS drop in, testing both on stock tuning, and when tuning is optimized, etc. I'd start there to avoid rehashing the same discussions.
