1st and 2nd gear c7z wins barely. 3,4 and 5 c6z walks the c7z on up to top speed. I now have a c7z. Quite disappointed. While I like the seats , removable roof and front and side view , I feel the c6z was a better car overall. Just like a c2 67 big block Vette was better then a c3 72 big block vette. C7z big and heavy and is overengineered, to the point of stupidness. it’s a luxury cruiser.

Yet you still bought one and have the nerve to use the word stupidness to describe something other than yourself.

Ajrothm stated, "The gear spacing for roll racing is awkward. 2nd gear starts are too high for anything over 45 mph."
Curious, why would 55 mph in 2nd be too high to start? Wheel spin or near red line already? I know the gearing is way different, but my M7 can nearly hit 100mph at the top of 2nd. I'd like to know what RPM you are running in 2nd @ 55.

You are correct sir! Sometimes you don’t see how stupid something is until you live with it for a bit after They took a bullet with the purchase. At least I am smart enough to realize when something is engineered to the point of stupidness even though I bought it. while others are not or they don’t have enough ***** to admit it.

I also own a H/C/I C6Z, purchased in 2008.
Go whine about the C7Z below, you might find somebody who gives a ****:

Will do. Don’t want to make you too butt hurt about your c7z.

I regretted trading my C6Z for about 3 seconds. Then I forgot about it entirely on the way home.

Plus a set of headers and tune is all the C6 Z06 needs to pull a bone stock C7 Z06. I love my 2 C7 Z06's but the C6 Z06 was pretty good back ten years ago. I miss mine and I even miss my C6 Zr1 a little.
The C7Z06 is the better over all car though. Except on hot track days.
If you want to roll race use a manual!

I'll go 30-130 anyday with almost any C6Z. The driver has to be really good and he has to hook as well. I took out a head/cam and Procharged C6Z and my A8 was bone stock. Obviously that car is way faster and from a 60 I'd have gotten my clock cleaned but you have to know your car's strength and the others weakness. I had a procharged C5 and I knew below 50-60 he wasn't going to hook with street tires. With all these people talking about adrenaline and botching the one shift in a dam auto I don't know how anyone dares trying to bang a few gears in a manual

Agree with you on the c7z vs c6z - top comes down that was a big factor in my decision to buy a c7z. looks better( I agree) and hot track days(agree with u c6z is better ). You forgot to mention c6z dropping valves. And we don’t even know what the real fix is for that problems. Don’t agree- stock c6z has 10mph over a stock c7z top end A c7z owner (tail-lights) posted above - from a 60mph roll he gets his clock cleaned by a c6z. C7z has a better 60 foot time and 0-60.While I still need to break in my c7z. Right now I feel the c7z is a complete disappointment stomping on it from a 60mph roll versus my c6z. And I don’t think it’s this specific c7z. I test drove at least 5 c7z’s. They were all the same. Need to save up for a supercharger upgrade or pulley change. Motor trend in the article where Tadge says the czzr1 makes the c7z06 feel really slow — that article also states the c7zr supercharger flows 52% more air.It will be interesting to see the published cam and head specs on the zr versus our z06 and gear ratios of the m7 and a8 comparison. While the dyno says big horsepower. It sure doesn’t feel that way.

The cloth top and chrome wheels and Corvette doesn't say true sports car as much as it does that the driver could be 75 and has a wheel chair stowed in trunk!

Roll racing A8.
If you have an C7Z M7 or a C6Z M6 congratulations, you are my hero.
How little one's pecker must be to hi-jack this thread to justify that purchase.
