After a good bit of research, I have narrowed my aftermarket wheel choice to a Signature SV303S in a 19x10.5 / 20x12.5 staggered setup for my 2018 ZO6. My Tire choice is leaning toward Perelli’s P Zero 285/35ZR19 on the front and P Zero 345/30ZR20 Corsa’s on the rear. I like the additional width and more aggressive stance. It would be a rare day to track this car - by choice.
Any opinions on the setup ? Any experience with these tires or sizes?
Two of my cars came with PZeros. No comparison with the SuperSports that were stock on my Z06. Once they are worn out, the Pirellis will not be replaced with their newest upgrade. I always feel like I'm skating on the PZero -- they never provide the confidence of the SS. In fact, had one of the Pirelli-shod cars out today (temp around 45, ground a tad wet) and the rear end stepped out a few times. Never happens with the SS under the same conditions.
I have had Pirelli P-Zero’s on my Z07 for over 12K miles and love them. They do not hold on as tenaciously as my OEM MPSC2’s (which I switch back to for AutoX and HPDE events) but perform very well and are more than competitive with my friends running their MPSS’s. They also do not “chatter” at full lock like the Michelin’s. Many of our Corvette Club members are experiencing severe inside tread wear with the Michelin’s as well. My Pirelli’s (stock size run flats) are not yet even half worn. I also prefer the appearance of the Pirelli’s over the MPSS. Subjective call!
Pure street driven car here but prefer the Pirellis as well. As the previous poster said they are wearing very evenly as opposed to the OE tires that were severely corded on the inside on 3 tires (while the outside tread looked hardly worn). I am starting to look for more Pirellis to use when the current ones finally do wear out
Edit: And I daily drive them so they have been out in this weather we have had here in south Texas (high teens through low thirties with moisture recently) and never an issue, unless I wanted there to be
